Hôtel Cala di Greco 4 étoiles Luxe

A luxurious boutique property with fantastic facilities and a million dollar view of scenic Bonifacio France. This is Easily a 5-star property with spacious villa suites, a great pool and bar area and modern conveniences, yet why only 3-stars you ask? Being a seasonal property (they close at the end of October) means they have a young, inexperienced staff which is readily apparent from the first moment you arrive. They just aren’t skilled in dealing with they type of people who are paying 500€ per night for a hotel room. Secondly the food and beverage service is sub-par. While there was a breakfast buffet included in our rate the food options while varied were institutional and hum drum; far below expectations for a luxurious French resort. Also the food available at the bar was disappointing. We ordered a charcuterie platter and also a bruschetta board to accompany some wine instead of taking another 25€ taxi trip (each way) into town for dinner. The meat looked like leftovers from breakfast with an off color. The bruschetta was essentially toast with some cherry tomatoes and herbs. It was dry and flavorless-such a missed opportunity both to enhance revenue and to reinforce the luxury brand they want to cultivate. Bottom line-if you have a car and don’t mind dealing with the extreme parking challenges in Bonifacio , the food issues might not matter. In which case the property itself is a beautiful oasis of calm and peace. Tips based on our experiences: But don’t ask them to do laundry as you won’t necessarily get it back the same day as the only person able to do it leaves at 3. Also don’t arrive before 4 as your room likely won’t be ready despite the emails they send asking for your arrival time, and there’s really no place to hang out unless it’s nice enough to get in the pool. Sorry Cala di Greco, you have so much unrealized potential….

One single and simple term to describe our experience: AMAZING! I strongly recommend this resort, everything was perfect and above expectation: the place, the atmosphere, the cure for details, the service, the cleaning, the forniture, the bed, the style, the breakfast, the pool restaurant, the pools, etc. Really, everything! I also highly appreciated the service provided by the reception which recommended, before our arrival and according to our preferences, which activities, beaches and restaurants could be best for us. I strongly recommend Cala di Greco if you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing, isolated and exclusive place to stay in the south of Corsica. Thank you to the whole team!

JUST GO!! Everything about the Il Greco is superb. When you first arrive on the stunning grounds, you immediately smell the jasmine and notice all the colorful flowers and olive trees. Then you enter the hotel lobby and you know you are in for a treat! The staff is just wonderful and even the lovely owners of the hotel greet you--THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! The hotel lobby is open and airy and the pool area is out of a movie. I usually do not care about a "pool", but it was the position of this gorgeous pool overlooking the view of the stunning town of Bonifacio in the distance that made you feel like you were in a dream. Bonifacio is a gorgeous town to explore so spend some time there! And the nearby beaches are turquoise and wonderful. The room was fantastic with greatl natural light! Big, clean, and bonus local bath products too! We had a room with an outdoor patio and it was wonderful to sit out there and relax each morning and night--although you can sit around the hotel pool area too which again is stunning. The BREAKFAST WAS OUTSTANDING. So many local products---delicious jams, breads, charcuterie, fruits, farm fresh eggs to order any style you want, and two different homemade cakes each day--thank you to the lovely people who spoiled us with them! Finally, even though the hotel does not serve dinner you can get some wonderful charcuterie and appetizers with fabulous wine--which basically is like eating a light dinner. Make sure to book the jacuzzi too. We so would go back tomorrow if we could!

Tout simplement Magnifique et MAGIQUE. Calme, Beauté, Emplacement, Vue, le rêve au quotidien avec l'ensemble du personnel attentionné au bien-être des résidents. Excellent petit déjeuner, avec un large choix. Deux piscines sublimes

Wir haben uns vom ersten Augenblick wohlgefühlt im Hotel und auch im Zimmer. Die Ruhe hier ist einfach super. Unser Pool war nur ein paar Meter vom Zimmer entfernt mit traumhafter Sicht auf das malerische Städtchen Bonifacio und das Meer. Die Eigentümer-Familie ist sehr freundlich und interessiert an unserem Wohlbefinden. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut mit ausreichender Auswahl. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Das Servicepersonal könnte besser geschult werden und die Abläufe einfacher gestaltet werden. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Tout est fait pour se sentir privilégié à l’écart de la foule, y compris pour PMR, Les bungalows sont très soignés, très fleuris et sobres Service adorablement gentils Quant aux parties communes, le bar, la piscine à débordement offrent une vue à couper le souffle Seul couac la restauration et une carte sans grand intérêt. Mieux vaut y boire qu’y manger. Merci à tous
