This is likely the best accommodation available in the charming town of Bolsward. And the hotel is charming and recently renovated to a high standard. The issue, however, is that the owners went for style over substance. The rooms look nice, the bed is comfortable but that’s where the comfort stops. The manager was very accommodating when I asked for extra pillows and towels, he even brought a mini fridge when we asked about it. But these things should have been in the room already. Our suite was roomy but too many of the requirements of comfort were overlooked. The sink is in the main room, which is ok, but there was not a single towel bar or hook. The shower has no shelves or soap dishes so your shampoo, shaver etc has to sit on the floor. Breakfast cost as much as the full buffet and hot options on offer everywhere else. However, it is a served breakfast of small portions. Everyone was very nice but our overall experience was not very comfortable for a 3 night stay.

Een kleinschalig maar prachtig hotel. De kamers zijn voorzien van2 ruimtes. Een slaap gedeelte en een woongedeelte. De slaapkamer heeft lange bedden, heerlijke kussens. Badkamer met inloopdouche is klein maar prima, heerlijke warme en hige douche voor mijn man van 1m94. Woongedeelte heeft 2 relax fauteuils met tv. Ontbijt beneden is uitgebreid. En zeer!! vriendelijk personeel.

Onze zomervakantie ging dit jaar naar Friesland. We logeerden in Bolsward in het hotel 'Het Weeshuis'. We boekten een tuinkamer, gelegen op het gelijkvloers met een ruime slaapkamer, een gezellige zithoek met TV, een badkamer en toegang tot een ruime, groene tuin waarin 2 ezeltjes stonden te grazen. Elke morgen werden we verwent met een ontbijt. Verschillende broodjes, charcuterie, kazen en een lekkere fruityogurt stonden op de tafel reeds voor ons klaar. We konden in het hotel ook dineren maar er werd ons verteld dat de chef-kok elke avond dezelfde maaltijd klaarmaakt. 1 avond hebben we genoten van zijn kookkunsten, de volgende avonden vonden we in de stad Bolsward nog restaurants 'Blend', 'De Wijnberg' en ook een uitstekend Italiaans restaurant. We verkenden Friesland met de auto, de meeste toeristen fietsen tussen de elf Friese steden. De fietspaden in Friesland zijn zeer goed, afgescheiden van de rijbaan en uiteraard volledig vlak. Onze toppers in Friesland zijn Bolsward, Hindeloopen, Stavoren en de kleine stadjes (of zijn het dorpjes) Sloten aan het Slotenmeer en ijlst. Overal werden we omringd door gezellige Hollandse gastvrijheid.

Ein Hotel Nahe dem Stadtzentrum.Seht schöner Innenhof und von einem Teil der Zimmer Blick auf eine große Wiese mit zwei zahmen Eseln. Innenhof sind Bänke und Stühle.Der Essensraum hat Flair. Einige Zimmer haben im oberen Bereich die Schlafzimmer und im unteren Bereich das Badezimmer.Die Treppe ist sehr steil und mit Koffern oder Taschen sehr gefährlich zu begehen.Ein Zimmer hat eine kleine Terrasse mit Blick auf geparkte Autos.Für diese Parkplätze muss man bezahlen.Im Umkreis des Hotels muss man Parkplätze suchen findet man aber auch umsonst. Wir haben als Familie nicht dort gefrühstückt weil die Kinder den Vollen Preis bezahlen sollten.15 Euro ist ganz schön happig wenn man man bedenkt das Kinder nicht das Essen was Erwachsene essen .Wir hätten dort gefrühstückt wenn es eine Regelung gegeben hätte z.b Ein Euro pro Lebensjahr.So sind wir in den Ort gegangen wo man ab 8.30 bei hema günstig aber nicht lecker gefrühstückt hat. Diese Regelung trübt den Eindruck des Hotels für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Kinder waren zwischen drei und acht Jahren.

Super leuk hotel net buiten het centrum van Bolsward. Mooie kamer met apart zit gedeelte. Goed uitgebreid ontbijt met heerlijke koffie. Onze fietsen konden in de schuur opgeladen worden. Mooie binnentuin in de zon en aan de achterkant ezels in de tuin.

Unieke ervaring. Mooi gerenoveerd gebouw. Kleinschalig. Prachtige kamer, slaapkamer en apart zit gedeelte. In de ochtend lekker ontbijt te verkrijgen. Gelegen in Bolsward kreuk rustige stadje met klein centrum met aantal leuke restaurantjes.

Er staat bij dat er een restaurant bij zit. Wij zijn op dat moment gasten, maar we kunnen niet eens deelnemen aan het Diner. Ben je nu een hotel met restaurant!!! Dan moet je maar in de regen naar de stad toe om daar te gaan eten. Te gek voor woorden..

Wat een heerlijke plek in een prachtig stadje. Mooie, ruime kamers in feite suites. Fantastisch mooie tuin om in te vertoeven en een schitterend ontbijt. Dit alles verzorgd door heel vriendelijke mensen. Als start van onze elfstedenfietstocht ideaal, we hebben er genoten.
