Savoia Hotel Country House Bologna

This is a lovely place to stay..our room was across the rd from the main hotel were we would find the pool and the resturants..the food was very good..the resturants are open plan but really need air con as it was 37c and on the last night i cud only manage the main meal then had to go back to our room the only othe fly in the ointment was a barman who seemed to be giving me a lecture about my drink and making me feel stupid about my request ! He spoilt my holiday everyone else were lovely

When booking you really need to understand the properties. The Sovoia Country club & hotel are located on the same property across the drive way from each offer , Rooms shown in photo's are a mixture from both complexes, the old homestead building has reception for both buildings & rooms upstairs, the hotel has 3 stories We booked a deluxe room thinking it was in the old building, to our surprise it was in the 3 story newer building. The deluxe room was spacious with a lovely big modern bathroom, great value for money. The cleaning is excellent. Large parking area. Photo's showing the breakfast area are incorrect, there is no dining on this site other than a private restaurant. We found 3 issues staying here. 1) no coffee & tea or glass supplied in the room 2) if its not summer they do not turn on the air-con controls. 3) Breakfast & dinning is 100 mtr walk across & down the road, not good if raining. Breakfast i would rate as a 4 , Large sweets range, two sliced meats & cheese. Fruit yoghurt, good bread range with toaster. Tea/coffee packaged juice machine, we noticed on quieter days they roll out a fresh orange juice machine but on busy days they roll it away. The Savoia hotel Regency across & down the road is a lovely large hotel Big breakfast area, lovely dining room beautiful garden & car parking, you also have ful use of this hotels dining & bars.

So this hotel was booked for a business trip to Bologna. This is located close to the airport but a little bit away from the town. The country looks ideal from the outside and the reception staff were friendly. However the rooms were a bit lack lustre. Heating didn't really work and was quite cool in the evenings and a lot of noise in the corridors, as no staff actually in the accommodation, this wasn't seen too. Breakfast was a slight inconvenience as you have to walk over to the Savoia Regency Hotel. Perfectly fine when it's a lovely pleasant morning... dreadful when it's raining. Seemed a perfectly good area at the country house for breakfast.. but didn't actually know what it was used for! Would stay again.. of nothing closer to town

We stayed in hotel for two nights during our trip in northern Italy. Hotel is located outside city centre, so you need public transport to go to the historic centre. Sleep quality was excellent, hotel is quit and the bed was very comfortable. Also our room and bathroom were clear and staff clean them on daily basis. The only negative I found was the small size of our double room. A double room should be bigger and more spacious.

No air conditioning running as according to the grumpy guy in the back office, it’s not yet summer although it was 30 degrees today and the reception staff even “think” the outdoor hotel pool was open as it was so warm. The only suggestion is to open the windows yet with the tangenziale roaring away constantly next to the hotel, it’s a choice of not sleeping because of the heat or not sleeping because of the noise. Staff are entirely indifferent and attribute the problem to a sensitivity to noise. Having lived on the Heathrow flight path in London for a decade, I think not. As if the road noise is not bad enough, when someone uses the lift, that mechanical noise is totally intrusive too as the room is built around the lift shaft! Ok For a four star hotel named “Country House Hotel” and charging €110 a night, it’s incredibly disappointing and a complete misnomer - this is in no way anything whatsoever “country” related or the slightest bit relaxing, it’s a hot, highway hell. First ever and last ever stay!

La location molto carina e costituita da piccole unità immobliairi. E' comoda al polo fieristico di bologna. E' situtata nei pressi di un parco per cui la zona è molto tranquilla e indisturbata. Le camere sono confortevoli e ben curate. La colazione viene servita nell'unità principale che si trova esternamente a questa struttura e dista circa 2-300 metri raggiungibile solo attraverso un viale interno a cielo aperto.
