I was traveling on business and my flight was delayed to the point that I missed my meeting. I called the hotel the morning of my hotel stay knowing I was outside the window to cancel the room, but hoping they could grant me an exception. I was pleasantly surprised that they agreed to cancel the room without penalty. I cancelled my other appointments in Boise and rescheduled the entire trip. Days later I realized the unexpected $215 charge on my credit card for the hotel room. When I called to share my situation, I was told multiple lies and when I offered to provide evidence contradicting those statements, I was told these documents were not welcome. I'm a big fan of Marriott and travel to Boise frequently. I will go back to the other Marriott properties for my future stays.
