Having our wedding at Bellevue Resort was definitely the best choice! Our wedding was delayed by Covid for 3 years and there were a few staff changes and Sheila Baldo has picked up where the last events manager left off without a hitch. She was always available, polite and open to ideas. We looked around at other venue options and the beach front privacy and luxe experience Bellevue offers are incomparable. What we love most about the event was the food which was above and beyond the expectation for a buffet - it certainly tasted like fine dining, the attention to details and the execution of everything we have agreed on. My family and I have had such a great time spending our wedding and holiday/reunion in Bellevue. The daily breakfast buffet options were always exciting and cater to locals and foreigners alike. The koi pond is always a hit - you can do fish feeding, and I never tire walking past them. During our 5 day stay, they always have a quiet event at their beach front which says a lot about them being a very good choice as an events space for your important occasions. Some nights they had a live band to serenade diners at the restaurant. The staff - they are unbelievable! They were quick, accommodating, friendly and always at your service. What needs improvement on, however, was their spa and their massage therapists. We spoke to Drew, the manager, and plans to remedy this were actually on the way! I guess next time, we will have to try this out!

This beautiful little boutique resort that I brought a group called Kids Sea Camp to. It was an awesome family diving vacation. Amun ini is located right on the beach with lots of fun things for the kids to do. There is a volleyball beach court, a basketball court, an infinity pool, and a beautiful private white sand beach full of seashells. The rooms are very spacious, either a king bed or a king bed with 2 single beds for families with young kids. 2 queen beds as well. None of the rooms connect, so if you have older teens, you can easily have two side-by-side rooms. I bring a small group of family divers to this resort for a 5 or 6-night stay each year. The best rooms for views are the second floor, and the easiest and quickest to the restaurant and pool are the first floor. The downstairs rooms have gardens in front of them so ocean views are obstructed. The food is very good, and a great variety that is customizable for kids. This resort is a 2-hour ride from TAG airport but provides private transfers. The diving operator is Amun Ini Divers and they are both SSI and PADI. The Kids Sea Camp Event we attend each year is a PADI event, and families with kids come from around the world to learn to scuba dive and dive together. The dive shop has 3 boats that are very well equipped with bathrooms and refreshments. This dive operator offers valet-style diving where everything is taken care of for you. The kids dive rental gear is all included for the kids as well as all the meals, transfers and up to 4 dives per day. This resort is uncrowded and very service-forward. The dive team is one of the best in the world that I have had the pleasure to dive with. The beds are very firm. Enjoy.

The hotel is made up of a dozen independent villas, the villa environment is top-notch, the hotel environment is more pristine, but the road inside the hotel and the road to the hotel is terrible, and the hotel is very big inside, the road is complicated, it is easy to get lost, I recommend to add a ferry or more roadside map. The hotel service is very good, because I need to leave at 6:00 in the morning, reception said that they can send breakfast to my villa in advance, and check out can be delayed for some time. The hotel's restaurant has an unbeatable view of the sea, although I didn't eat there hahaha

I'm surprise to read quite a few negative reviews here about this hotel. Unfortunately, it pulled their ratings down as well. Too bad as this hotel really did a great job for us. First off, the staff was friendly and super accommodating! This is a last minute overnight booking for us. We were supposed to stay with a family but since our flight got delayed, we had to book here for the meantime. The late night airport transfer (airport pick-up) was the most convenient, as well as very helpful. The driver even offered to take us grocery shopping if needed. I mean, our flight arrived 1030pm via Korea (with 10hours layover) so both my teen son and I were exhausted. It's good to know we have someone reliable and friendly waiting for us. Despite the late night check-in, the staffs were smiling, cheerful and gave us a welcome lei necklace or shell necklace. It's my teen son's first time in Bohol, so he was happy at this unexpected welcome experience. Furthermore, our booking included a dinner for 2 but since we missed that due to our flight delay and will be checking out the next day, the staff changed that to 2 free lunch instead. That's another convenience for us, since our family will pick us up after lunch the next day. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable - 2 double beds, strong shower pressure, cold a/c and our room included a welcome water bottles for us, which again is an add on convenience for us (esp. arriving super late at night). With a teen in tow, WiFi is important. No issues on that as their WiFi was pretty strong. The hotel itself is situated in the quiet side of Pangloa, which is a plus for us exhausted travelers. We slept and rested very well that night after a nice hot shower. The next day, my teen was excited to look around the hotel property. The pool area was clean, huge and nicely decorated. It has that island feel to it. Unfortunately, it rained and there's a lightning/thunder alert hence he was unable to swim in the pool. However, we had fun strolling around the property. It has a welcoming vibe to it. We ate at their restaurant for lunch, even invited family over. Over all, a convenient, relaxing- stress free and comfortable overnight stay here. Will we stay here again? Definitely!

We stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited. One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout. The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient. Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items. The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal. One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them! Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style. On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it. While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium. If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, pero no es un hotel muy agradable. Si prefieres una cama más suave y más lujosa, reserva un hotel diferente. Incluso cuando Housekeeping puso 2 comodidades entre la cama y la hoja, todavía era duro. BATHROOM Una vez más muy diferente de las normas filipinas habituales. En la cama había 2 lavavajillas y 2 toallas (en torno al tamaño de las toallas típicas de mano occidental), más en el baño había 2 ”Toallas de baño” (tejido de tejido abierto de largo frío) para exfoliar el cuerpo no secarlo. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. La anfitrión se fue inmediatamente a la cocina y se volvió rápidamente con una placa de huevos fritos y otra placa de bacon. Pensé que YIPPEE, tendría desayuno fresco y caliente, pero me decepcionó, porque los huevos y el bacon estaban fríos - obviamente, dejaron en un banco en los gatos después de haber sido cocinado alguna vez antes. It was our third time in Bohol and stayed at South Palms before which we had a very good experience. This year, we decided to stay at Modala Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversart as I have heard that it is one of the newest hotel in Panglao. And yes! This is now my most favorite hotel around the country! We were allowed to do an early check-in (we waited for almost 2 hrs for this as they have to prepare the room but totally fine with us as we enjoyed strolling around the resort). Everybody was welcoming and we loved how approachable they were. Totally adored our room (Tawhay Garden room) and just perfect for the 4 of us (2 queen bed). It was very neat when we arrived, bedsheets and pillows were on point equipped with toiletries, bathrobes and coffee fix (with electric kettle). I also appreciate the ”Happy Anniversary” bed design + small cake (all complimentary) that they have prepped for us. Cold Cucumber drinks were also available during check in which were very refreshing. They also have a free photoshoot +1 hard copy during your stay (additional payment if ever you decide to avail the whole photoshoot package). The hotel is situated beside a mall called Moadto *****, perfect if you want to try other restos and there was also 711 for your quick needs. Front beach was super nice with fine sand and my son really enjoyed swimming to both swimming pool and beach. It was very clean and you can already see a lot of fish swimming around. Water in the pool was lukewarm, just perfect if you get cold swimming at the beach. They also have a kiddie pool and jacuzzi area. Breakfast buffet spread was sumptous and filling. Everyone was very pleasant to talk to and attentive whenever we needed something. Special mention to Jasper who had been my 18 month old son's playmate all throughout our 4D3N stay at Modala. He was very charming and my baby boy loved him so much. Thank you once again, Modala! We are very satisfied with the hotel's topnotch customer service and superb facilities. Food was really great and we enjoyed every ala carte orders that we made. We will definitely be back.
