What a gem! This was the perfect stay for a relaxing beach vacation. The room, restaurant, beach, and most of all the staff was lovely! It is a small hotel, I do not think there would ever be more than 20 guests at a time. Your room is steps from the beach. We stayed in the Jungle King room. It was nicely appointed with air conditioning which was nice at night, it is tucked behind the kitchen. We were afraid we would be woken up early by kitchen prep but were pleasantly surprised noise did not carry and we slept in most morning. We ate every meal at the View, the on site restaurant. The food and drinks were lovely and very reasonably priced. They had different specials daily so it was lovely to get to try different food. Every day they brought out loungers for us to sit on the beach. It is a VERY wavy beach so you cannot swim but can wade in and cool off. It was a blast watching all the surfers, it is a destination beach for surfers. The sand was pristine and the beach was so calm with very few people. We went on the nature hike which was great as the guide picked us up from the hotel and it was around a 3 mile hike. We saw sloths, birds, monkeys, frogs, and learned so much about the jungle biology. As others mentioned the road to the hotel the last 10 minutes of the drive is very bumpy, we never left the resort but if you want to do all the activities it might be better to stay closer to town. If you are looking to relax or surf, this is the best location to arrive and stay. Everything you need is right at the Oasis! Thank you to Choy, Alex, Jose, and others for making our stay such a lovely one.
