I tried to find a spot on the Bonvoy App for a review, but could not make it work so I am here now. We were in town for Homecoming and appreciated due to booking FAR in advance we could use points for our stay here. This is our 5th or so time at this hotel and it is due for upgrades ASAP. The Springhill is WAY better than this location, but it was not available. First of all, in the lobby the coffee carafes were always empty or cold. That was our first impression as tired travelers. My husband did the check in, but we heard a guest interacting with the staff due to bugs in their room and that gave us the creeps! We did not have bugs, but we had a worn room. The hall carpets and paint need replaced, and well as many of the room furnishings. The toilet in our room was all cracked in the inside, the carpet was dirty and the couch was dirty and had torn spots. The items in the cabinets were sparse (We had been at a Townplace the night before and the kitchen was well supplied). Time to update this property for all the guests to Bloomington with IU there. We stayed on points and can't complain about the cost, but rooms were listed for greater than $800 at one point and if I paid that would be VIVID.
