The Headlands

Just did a two night stay at the headlands Saturday and Sunday a very nice hotel and and very nice staff Sarah the owner made us feel very welcome the room was very nice with a bath and shower and a very nice breakfast porridge and scrambled eggs I did not have evening meal but I believe in busy times you can pay for it also the hotel has a lift not very wide but does the job and nice bar open until 11 I think well worth a try top marks

Stayed at The Headlands for 2 nights 19th and 20th of Feb. Second time we've stayed here. The owner is a lovely lady, so friendly and welcoming. In fact, the whole staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Check in was very straightforward and we knew where everything was from last time. Our rooms were nice and clean with all the usual in-room facilities you would expect. The Headlands is located towards the southern end of the front, past the Pleasure Beach and is ideal if you like things a little quieter. There is on-site parking which is really handy too. There are 2 nice lounges to relax in, a games room and a small bar on the ground floor which is really cosy. The breakfast was an absolute treat again. A really nice selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and fruit juices, tea, coffee and toast plus a good selection of hot breakfasts. A really nice stay and this is definitely our go-to accommodation when in Blackpool. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the golden mile.

On arrival I was greeted at the reception desk. Check in was simple, I was given the room key I had booked a single room but was pleasantly surprised that I'd been given a large twin room with a full bathroom with bath and shower overhead. There were 4 large towels and 2 hand towels on the rail and a towel footmat. My room had a Seaview overlooking the illuminations and the Giant promenade Mirrorball. A tram stop was a 2 minute walk away (beside the Mirrorball) The room was warm, it had 2 large radiators with a further radiator and the heated towel rail in the bathroom. I had a walk along the illuminations, intending to get a tram back from the tower, it was a nice night so I walked both ways. I had a very reasonably priced pint in the bar before retiring. The bed linen a was spotlessly clean crispy white with lovely fluffy pillows to match. After a good night's sleep it was down for b/fast in the lovely wood panelled dining room, there was the usual starter / continental selection. Then the delicious plated full English served on hot plates was brought to your table, along with as much tea or coffee and toast as you required. I attended the lovely Rememberance Service (the purpose of my Blackpool visit) at the Blackpool Cenotaph on the Sunday morning then a slow walk back to the hotel along the seafront looking forward to my 2nd nights stay. I enjoyed my w/end at the Headlands, to me part of the hotels appeal/charm, was the lovely wood panelling throughout the main areas (some would call it 'old fashioned') plus the genuine friendliness of any of the lovely staff I met over the 3 days. The price I paid was a lot less than some of the more traditional B&B's wanted for Bed only. Would I stay again? ........ A definite 100% I would!

We really enjoyed our stay at headlands. It is a nice comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Facilities are grand. Definitely great value for money. The hotel is a great location for pleasure beach! Really good breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day.

Absolutely fabulous 2 night stay,great location, rooms are spotless, fantastic breakfast lovely welcome and a very friendly cosy place to stay with a really friendly atmosphere,nothing was too much trouble we will definitely be returning next year

Lovely hotel, ideally located for the Pleasure Beach. It even has a car park! The interior is a little tired, but this is more than made up for by everything being spotlessly clean and the staff being fabulous! Everyone we spoke to were so friendly and pleasant. Our bed was super comfy and the room was spacious and had excellent views of the Promenade to the sea beyond. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly - the whole set up worked like a well oiled machine! The staff in the dining room were so attentive too, with offers of more toast or extra tea seeming to be the norm. I can highly recommend this little gem of a hotel!
