Queens Plaza Hotel

We enjoyed our stay. I have walking difficulties and did struggle walking to our room. However I must recommend Denise, the owner, who did try to get us a nearer room. Sadly, none were available. We paid £30 for our breakfasts for our stay, which was a bit of a surprise as we thought breakfast was included. It was delicious though, and plentiful with lots of choice. Very friendly and pleasant staff who really do try to accommodate your every need. There's also a lovely little bar, with fun quiz machines to play. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

We made a last-minute booking for a night's stay here and had a triple room on the top floor. Although there were a lot of stairs to navigate, it was manageable for just one night. My husband used the small but old lift to bring our suitcase and bags up to our room. Although our room did not offer much of a view, it was clean, well-organized, and seemed to have been recently decorated. The amenities included tea and coffee-making facilities, as well as the option for hot chocolate, which was a nice extra touch. Additionally, we found a few small packets of biscuits and bottled water, which were pleasant surprises. The ensuite, featuring a separate shower and toilet, was also great. Both were clean and equipped with a dispenser for handwash and shower gel, along with ample towels. We enjoyed the breakfast, which featured a wide variety of both hot and cold options and offered great value for the price. However, there are a few areas for improvement, particularly regarding the mattress on the main bed. We found it to be thin, squeaky, and somewhat uncomfortable, and the pillows were very flat. Our previous experiences with Premier Inn mattresses and pillows may have influenced our opinion, which is why we reduced our rating by one star. The hotel offers free parking, but it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The owner does his best to accommodate guests in need of parking. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning if ever in the vicinity again.

One night stay to begin Christmas shopping in Fleetwood and see lights - last minute decision but good one. 3 adults, given rooms 22 & 23 - adjoining rooms and perfect for us. Room 23 had fridge and alarm clock which was really welcome as well as plentiful tea/coffee/ bottles of water. Breakfast had big selection, something for everyone including potato scones and Lorne sausage that son loved. If I could make one suggestion, can the legs on the bed in room 23 be padded/changed to round ones? - husband and I both got caught our legs on sharp edges and have bruises from walking between the narrow gap between the bed and the wall. We honestly did try to be careful! Finally - I always judge a stay on whether I would return and recommend to others. I will happily return to Queens Plaza and would recommend.

My wife and I have just spent two nights in this lovely hotel. Family run and family oriented, it is a perfect place for a visit to Blackpool. It offers a peaceful environment with stunning sea views well away from The Golden Mile. Close to the tram service for getting around and plenty of places to eat close by. Very quiet despite a few creaks and cracks from the floorboards. It has a lovely homely feel to it but if your idea of heaven is a Travelodge, this is not for you. This place has character, comfort, quiet, nice bar and the best buffet breakfast we have found anywhere. Lovely friendly staff and well organised parking. You don't need a car to get around anyway. Highly recommended.

Whilst the corridors and stairs are somewhat depressing with heavy fire doors and aged carpets my room was rather lovely. Larger than I expected it to be, my single room exceeded expectations. A comfy bed and a sea view and everything I needed to make my stay comfortable (including a large closet which I didn't need). If I had to grumble the sink was too small to fill the kettle at (but that's where the water glass comes in handy) and the en suite was tiny...but perfectly servicable with a good shower and plenty of hot water. I didn't try the in house breakfast but if your morning appetite can't do justice to the extra £15 there are several cafes round the corner on Redbank Road. All in all if I was forced at gunpoint to go back to Blackpool I'd happily avoid the worst of it by staying at the Queens Plaza again.

Very clean and lovely room. You have obviously invested in good quality mattresses. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the place to others Tips for other travellers Managed to easily get a weekly tram ticket and the service was good. It didn't take long to get into Blackpool. Also went the other way to visit Fleetwood. Cost of that was offset by the better hotel rate.
