So I will start this off by saying I wasnt expecting a 5* luxury stay. For £58 for two nights I knew it wouldnt be the comfiest or cleanest, but I was expecting alot more then what we got. When we arrived we parked on the curb, I went into he hotel and spoke to a young man. I told him we had a booking, and what name it was under. He said they have been really busy and the room isnt ready yet, and probably wont be ready for another hour. And then he said ‘oh are you the one who asked about banners and balloons’ , which i replied yes to. I had messaged the hotel through the *********** app asking a couple of questions, it was my sons bday the day we arrived and the hotel said they would put some banners and balloons in our room for us. I also asked about parking on the drive and the young man replied with ‘if theres space then you can park there but i dont know where else you can park’. Not the greatest response you’d want, you kind of expect a recommendation for a couple of nearby carparks. After a short while we managed to get a space on the drive, left the car and went for a walk. I understand hotels will be busy on a bank holiday monday, but using ‘weve been busy’ as a reason to not having clean rooms by 4pm isnt great. In that case you need to hire more staff and cleaners. We arrived back around 5:30pm, we were taken to room 8. 3rd floor at the back. I was given a clear folder with booking confirmation and a remote control in, (bare in mind the booking details i had been given were not mine, from someone else who has stayed in that room previously) We walked into a room that looked like someone had been squatting in it. Duvets on the floor with no bedding, dirty bed sheets left on another bed, bin not emptied, faeces left in the toilet, teacups with old drinks in them and the room smelt awful to. At this point our first impression of this hotel was pretty low, to the point my partner had already started looking on *********** for other hotels. I went down to reception, told them the issue and even took photos to show evidence. I was then told I had been given the wrong room. (In fact I know I had booked the room we were just taken to) I was told at reception that there was a man who was a worker has stayed in there(bare in mind there were dirty nappies in the bin so it must have been someone with a young child) We then got moved to room 5, seaview room. I got made to feel like id won the jackpot with a seaview room. And athough this room was cleaned- well clean(er) then the last there were still bits missing. No hand soap in the bathroom, blinds had slats missing so you were awake from the crack of dawn. I asked for a single duvet for my son and we got two dirty blankets instead (thankgod I brought my own travel cot, sheets and had spare blankets in the car) the sheet didnt fit the bed and the mattress was filthy and didnt have a mattress protector. The usb ports in the plug socket didnt work. We had one towel and a bathmat between 3 of us. I

Please find listed below a list of issues: No family room available - we were instead given two double rooms which was not ideal but as it was the coronation weekend we couldn’t find any other accommodation available so had to settle with this. This was only available to us as well. We were checking in a couple caused a scene in the bar area demanding a refund Cold rooms and no hot water - no point during the weekend were the radiators in operation and during shower time, the hot water reached just above tepid Dirty bedsheets - The bedding in the children’s room contained sand, and upon inspection of the adult bed was found a line of black fluff that looked as if somebody had slept in their socks. The bedding was not fresh at all. Seaview - we chose the hotel because of the Seaview being aware of the tram parade on the weekend. We instead got a view of next door’s roof with the decorative accessory of a pair of discarded female panties. Bathrooms - the toilet seat in both rooms were broken. Sealant around the bathroom with mouldy Plug socket - the plug socket in the adult bedroom would crackle and spark if a USB plug was put into the socket. TV - the TVs in both the rooms were not ideal, owing to the remote not working in the children’s room and the TV in the adult room being held on the bracket by toilet paper roll by(see picture) Availability of towels - we were given one hand towel and one bath towel per room we requested additional towels but had to wait until the following morning at around 10 am. (see assistance.) Carpets - the carpet has not been vacuumed and at one point, my partner stood on a nose ring that was lodged in the carpet Public bar - the public bar was not available to residents. All of the optics, bottles and glasses had been removed. Dirty lobby - the lobby and bar area were dirty complete with a layer of dust. We arrived on the Saturday, and two empty water bottles accompanied us throughout the stay until Monday morning, the dust was a constant. Parking - no parking was available at the hotel as four cars were taking up the six spots. When we asked about the parking situation, we were told it was £10 a night and voice it was probably better to leave the car on the road. To add, I booked the family room on the premise that the hotel had advertised that parking WAS available on site. Assistance - a sign on the board door gives contact numbers for out of hours assistance as I had requested towels on the Saturday and I’ve not received any Sunday morning. I found the numbers to ask if I could receive some more towels I was told the hotel manager would be messaged or out of hours assistance didn’t start till 10 am mean in the wonderful day we did have in Blackpool had to be started late due to none of us been able to shower. This is a brief synopsis of events and the state of the hotel, which to be brutally honest was abysmal.

Scammers. This place booked us in took money and we even checked via email 4 days prior to check the booking was still valid due to bad reviews all looked OK. The day arrived, we turned up to find the place locked up with a notice saying closed due to gas and electric?! We tried calling over and over again to no avail. We ended up spending on emergency accommodation for the next 4 days (we couldn't go home as we had planned and paid for activities). We're day 2 now and still no one has called us back. Total disgrace of an establishment and thieves.

I booked 5 nights with arnies hotel for them to cancel 16 hours before booking in. They have kept my money and won't return it. What an awful bunch of people they are. You should be ashamed of yourself for ripping off people.

We had a lovely stay. It was cheap and cheerful. We booked a family room however ended up staying in two double rooms. But the manager was lovely and apologised about this, it was only his first day so I felt for him. Wonderful staff who were ready to help when needed. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We stayed here March 11th. The staff were very polite friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and warm and clean. We paid extra for breakfast which was lovely too. Thank you so much for a lovely experience we will definitely me back. Excellent customer service and value for money.

On arriving the guy on the front friendly. Not a bar they put in the picture. In the room we were in Tape all over the window. So you couldn’t open the window. Bathroom stunk of urine. Beds uncomfortable. There is also a sign that says anyone doing ***** will be kicked out. Lying in bed all you could smell was ****. Room just made you feel uneasy.

I've never stayed on the sea front so was looking forward to this.... Was taken to room. Straight away I could see all bits on the floor. Hadn't seen a vacuum in days I reckon. The toilet Hadn't seen bleach..and the sink was disgusting. My mom and daughter stayed in another room. Which had a broken radiator to where you couldn't turn it down. It was so hot in a tiny room it made my mom feel ill. Both beds in both rooms were uncomfortable and the pillows. Never again. Weird pair who run it too.

So there was eight of us in a party in total the Hotel the managers adam and Kelly couldn’t do enough to accommodate us ( amazing ) While we was there we had the pleasure of meeting the HWM hotel world management team ! Highly recommend this hotel, cheap, friendly, warm Welcoming Budget hotel Ps The breakfast with a delicious 😋
