We have stayed in Bitez many times. This hotel is a gem.Greeted with drinks and friendly staff. Originally our room was to be on the first floor, however, I use an electric wheelchair. The staff arranged a ground floor room. So while we waited we headed to the bar. Excellent variety of drinks available. There was a snack bar by the bar, which offered a small variety of food. Excellent quality. As soon as our room was available the staff came to tell us and showed us to a lovely room. At first we thought it was a bit small. But actually it was perfect. The terrace out side was a lovely place to sit in the morning with a coffee. The buffet lunch and evening was again excellent with a great choice of food. The staff were very attentive. Often bring fresh beers to our table or by the pool. We became known as '2 beers' 😆. My husband would go to get drinks to take back to our room in the evening. The staff would bring them to us. Nothing was too much trouble. I love purple and on one day by the pool the lovely girl behind the bar sent me a purple cocktail! Great touch. Overall a fabulous holiday. It's our 35th wedding anniversary next June and we are hoping we will be celebrating at The Paloma

So now sitting at the airport waiting for our flight home I thought I would leave as honest as a review of this hotel as possible there are so many positives to this hotel considering it is a 3 star and only 1 real negative I will start with the negative the food isn’t great I’m not a fussy eater and can and will genrerally try most items but in the main bar most days it was hard to find something nice and sadly it does let the hotel down, that being said the snack bar does have some good bits after lunch and the ala carte is amazing i def recommend. Now the positives it’s hard to know where to start the rooms are small but the aircon is great and all so close to the pools we could leave our room and step into it the main pool is a nice size and didn’t feel crowded at any point even as the hotel got busier during our stay. Now the thing that makes this hotel so special and why we would return is because of the staff all of pool bar staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need especially Bilal he is honestly 1 of the nicest people we have met his own brand of smoothies he relgulary makes are amazing the love he has for the hotel shows through into the service he gave us and all other guests we also loved that the managers are always around the hotel for a chat we will be back very soon Then lastly it’s the care that they give to the cats around the hotel

This is our 4th time here first time being 9 yrs ago. It was good to sea some modernisation to the reception area, rooms and facilities around the pool. Staff as always very friendly and accommodating, every request was dealt with promptly. Lovely to also see some entertainment in the evening around the bar area. They now have an ala-carte restaurant with lovely decore. Suggestions to the management is provide an actual menu so that we know what it is we are eating, rather than just being asked if we want meat, chicken or fish. A nice touch would be to have that menu in your room, also showing that drinks are charged for. We were a bit disappointed with the cleaning around the pool area in the evening, we used see lots of staff cleaning the pool area in the evening and moving chairs, but none of that this time. A lovely surprise when we arrived was that they had upgraded us to a family room and there was a bottle of wine and fruit in the room for us. I presume it was because I had told her we were coming out for my husband’s 60th with all the family. Overall a very relaxing stay for couples and families we can recommend.

Not as it was, it was our 4th visit and sadly our last, Only bonus of our 10 days was catching up with old and new guests, Food, Not a good as it used to be, not as good quality, a real shame, one of the reason why we return each year, Rooms Rooms were cleaned daily until 100 uni students descended in the hotels, room was not cleaned for 3 days before we left, Staff, Friendly enough but found some laughing at us for not speaking Turkish which make me feel uncomfortable, ordered drinks and got the wrong one, a guest ordered in Turkish and they got that wrong, at one point I had a phone shoved in my face translating I could get in my room. Overall, Lovely to see everyone from the last few years but sadly we all thought the same, The word family has now left the paloma family club, and I am very sad to be writing this review

Just returned from another trip to Bitez. This time i returned to Paloma. Early in the season but everything was up and running like a well oiled machine. Since my last stay here things have changed for the better. There is a larger seating area in reception that is comfortable (providing water and juice for those arriving). Rooms much as before. compact and bijous (additional extras slippers, cotton buds etc. Now food. Paloma serves a range of Turkish mainly food. What's not to love? Grilled chicken. fish and every salad you could imagine. In the morning and evening there is a grill chef making fresh grilled foods. It is also a vegetarians delight (don't know how they cooked them leeks but dam they were good. (I'm not a veggie though) so really enjoyed meat to go with. I want to praise all the staff but in particular Ramazan and Firat who were waiters. I have never seen two lads smile so much and enjoy their jobs. Nothing was too much and they made me smile every day. My only negative is that at the main pool staff need to heed who is around the pool and what time of day it is before they choose the music to play and at which volume. No one needs a rave just after a quiet lunch ! Another bonus for me was the shower rooms near the main bar that i used to refresh for going home on a late flight after giving my room up at 12. Hope you find this helpful. xx

Absolutely awful time at this hotel, watered down drinks which made us have a bad stomach the entire time. Avoid if you have any dietary requirements they don't label anything. No kids club just pillows and table, the playground is unsafe and my child has been injuries three times since being here. Also asked for a cot bed and this was ignored. Pool was freezing and never warmed up. Staff doesn't really speak English either and obviously don't like the English. Best bits were probably the cats although be aware there's fly's everywhere and the hotel room is only changed in the afternoon and if you have a toddler who sleeps during nap times during this time then you know your room will be missed. Also we requested toilet roll which was ignored ...

We have very mixed thoughts in relation to this hotel and the positives outweigh the negatives, however the negatives were extremely costly and very stressful. The hotel itself is beautiful, the way it is laid out and presented are stunning. A few too many steps without enough handrails if I'm honest, putting in a couple of handrails would cover that. The location of the hotel was good. The immediate area felt safe and you were happy to walk from here to the promenade area where bars and restaurants were located. Transport into Gumbet and Bodrum was excellent. Many restaurants in Gumbet would pick you up and take you back to your hotel after eating with them and doing a little souvenir shopping. That was really good. The staff were mostly very pleasant with a big shout out to the bar staff, they were always happy and chatty. Our cleaner was lovely although I do believe that there were some issues with other cleaners in the hotel. We didn't like the fact that the safety deposit boxes are in the main reception and not in your room, it didn't feel right. Our biggest issue was with the doctor that bases himself at the hotel. My partner had a nasty cold that he arrived with, as we were walking out one morning to find a pharmacy I stupidly asked him where the nearest pharmacy was. We were sent immediately back to our room and he descended upon us to examine him. He insisted that he was very poorly and needed an ambulance to go to the hospital (he said at the time, he actually meant the clinic that he was a part of), I was told that he was very poorly and had to be seen and to remember to bring our insurance details. Before we knew it he was strapped into the back of an ambulance with me in the front being transported to a clinic in Gumbet. He was removed from the ambulance at the clinic and I was told he needed urgent x-rays, he was finally brought back into the room and put onto a saline drip. I kept asking what was wrong and was shown a copy of an x-ray with no name attached to it (it could have been for anyone, and to this day I have never seen an x-ray for him), saying he had pneumonia and queried an issue with his heart. We kept trying to leave and they kept telling us that he was really poorly and needed treatment (they are very good at what they do). We were then told that he had to be transferred to hospital (but in actual fact it was another clinic that they were affiliated with) and had to stay overnight. He was then blue lighted to this clinic in Bodrum as you can imagine it was very scary. Once there we were prisoners really, they said we had to pay them immediately and then claim our insurance when we got home, they refused to let us leave and said they would call the police if we tried to leave. We managed to find a way to raise the money to allow us to leave the premises the next day, although I had a Consultant accusing me of withholding treatment for him. I was constantly told by one member of their staff, ever

Stunning location , buildings very photogenic. However rooms are small inside , one chest of draws , shelf’s and hanging rail for clothes open. Pools descent size can get very busy. The hotel does not do children’s entertainment they have a playground and the mini club room where nothing happens. Also in the playground it’s gritty and stoney. As for entertainment none during the day , some background music playing. Tuesday night and Thursday night there was belly dancer who only performed for about 15 minutes and that’s about it. Staff some friendly , some won’t acknowledge you. I went to ask front desk about tours or excursions if they knew any but they were clueless. Had no toilet paper for 2 days I requested 3 times for paper. They kept saying someone would be with us. Food - chips everyday. Even for breakfast Mixture of foods but not much variety. I’m not normally a fussy eater but I struggled on this holiday especially for my 2 year old.
