A large group traveled to Lebanon to celebrate an 80th b'day and a christening in early July, 2022. We needed a place to stay that was clean, had reliable services, onsite meals. By good luck, we came across the perfect hotel in Bikfaya area we wanted just a few minutes' drive from my wife's family hometown of Freike: the Merry Land Hotel! It is freshly updated, provides full food and drink service including a hearty Lebanese breakfast, it is child-friendly, a reliable elevator (to all 5 floors), and constant electricity thanks to their generator. The hotel managers are the Dagher Family, who run day to day operations with a cheerful staff whose diversity reflects the New Lebanon to come. Despite the fact that Lebanon faces daunting financial and political issues, the country's long-term future seems assured seen through the lens of this well-run hotel (which is far better than "quaint") and their harmonious, diverse staff. The Merry Land Hotel has already seen and realized the country's future. A treasure.
