This was the only disappointment in terms both of quality of accommodation and hospitality during our 12 nights in Transylvania. We decided to move elsewhere rather than stay a second night. What can be inferred from the website images - but perhaps should be spelled out in the verbal description - is that there is no sitting-area except two rather uncomfortable wooden chairs in the entrance hall. Not exactly 'cosy'. There is nowhere else one can sit comfortably. The kitchen is very small and the cooker was not clean, so we abandoned any idea of cooking. The bathrooms are hardly inviting and one was rather malodorous. There are no less than 4 bedrooms: we, a couple, took the whole house, and it still felt cramped. Sharing is quite hard to imagine but would no doubt be pretty cheap. The house was chilly when we arrived and it took ages to warm up. The breakfast was 'so so'. To cap everything, there was no water at all in the morning. We telephoned the owner who came round and banged around in the basement for a few minutes and the water came on. No apology or explanation! After breakfast, we were told that the water had been off in the whole village. Maybe it was. But why the banging around then? And why not phone us out of courtesy and explain that? Bizarre! On the 'up side', the location is incomparable and, apart from the cooker, the place is clean and the beds are comfortable. You can park right outside. In sunny weather one could enjoy the outside space, so one might have a better overall experience of the place.
