Arrived on Friday night at 5.30 having set up trade stand at Bristol Heritage, receptionist ready to leave and note on door saying reception closed 6pm to 12pm and for arrivals to phone a number. Obtained keys and made aware of no provision of food or snacks (tea and coffee available in room) - note to self check this for future bookings elsewhere. Ground floor accommodation. Room appeared clean but on closer inspection cup ring on bedside table and hair in shower. Joined colleagues elsewhere and secured 7am breakfast and evening meal bookings there for the two night stay. Returned mid evening. Extremely noisy as no carpeting to deaden sound in hallway though no noise from floors above. Noise from back to back bathroom. A lot of noise from reception area. Left at 6.30am no sign of a receptionist (front door kept locked at all times). Returned mid evening receptionist on duty and had to ask how we would check out the next morning at 6.30 - leave key on desk (no information in room). Found room had not been serviced. Next morning a lot of noise at 6am; fortunately already awake. Car parking adequate but premises backed onto an industrial estate so most residents parked at front or side so as to be seen by passing traffic. A minor issue was TV in room not set up correctly for programmes and clock was an hour behind. Premises run on minimal staff and appeared absent most of the time. Not welcoming, very basic for cost and would not recommend for leisure travellers.
