Cambria Hotel Davenport Quad Cities

One of my favorite locations, I really enjoyed my stay💯

Clean room with soft, comfortable beds. We stayed a night in a room with two queen beds and shower with a tub. Had a nice mini fridge, small microwave and a keurig coffee maker. Room stayed cool during the night and we slept great. We stayed during the week and didn’t notice any loud noises from the hallway or the surrounding buildings. You can buy breakfast here at the hotel but we ended up eating at a restaurant close by. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I have small getaway trips. We came to try this hotel. The rooms are small and arranged differently than most hotel rooms. The bed lighting was fun. The TV was nice and large. It had HBO and worked great. There was a walk in glass shower with good water pressure. There was a bluetooth mirror (which we are still curious about). The pillows were fluffy and the bed and couch were comfortable. They send texts to check on the guests. We had only a few complaints. First, our bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned. We responded to one of their texts and they offered to send someone up right away to clean it. Very nice gesture. There is no complimentary breakfast (which is mentioned in the hotel details). There, also, is no business center. They make sure to let guests know that there are no free items by placing signage on the tables. This is a no frill hotel so if you are expecting little perks, you will not find it here. The restaurant is a little pricey for breakfast and dinner. There were not many people taking advantage of the meals, either, so maybe we were not the only ones that thought it was a tad expensive. Lastly, the hotel is located next to several bars with outdoor seating. We stayed on a Friday night which was a mistake. We heard talking/yelling until 2:30 in the morning from the bar patrons that were seated outside. There was, also, loud motorcycles and cars showing off for the crowds. So, when you see other reviews stating the hotel has thin walls, it includes interior AND exterior. We could not even turn the AC fan on high to drown out the noise. The customer service of this hotel made up for most of the bad....the loudness of the people at the bar, though, was horrible. This is really not the fault of the hotel, so I cannot necessarily blame them for this. Just beware if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night.

Very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly management and bar staff. Excellent location across from the sports complex. If you are staying here for sporting event, there will be kids in hallways. Also, you'll need a staff person to let you in the fitness room, because your key card won't work. Too many kids treating the fitness center like a theme park, so they lock it down.

A very nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel. There is a lot going on right close to the hotel. Not only is there a restaurant and a little store in the hotel there are at least three restaurants within walking distance and plenty of amenities around. Across the street is a huge sports complex, indoor outdoor facilities within walking distance also.

If you're looking for rest & relaxation you should look elsewhere as this hotel has an inherent problem with slamming doors, every single one of them. And if you're lucky enough to get one near an exit door plan on getting no sleep. There is an athletic complex across the street so there are tons of family's with tons of kids slamming doors non stop, room doors, pool doors, exit doors and yes even the office doors. Quiet time at 10 pm? Nope not here, goes on all night long with drunken parents not supervising their children and worse yet participating in the mayhem. Don't bother complaining as the manager will not listen to your problem, constantly interrupt you so you can't even finish a sentence and just deny there is a problem even though they were not there the night before, like they would know...

This is a new hotel which is well designed. Room was spacious. Staff was well trained and gracious. We seldom eat at a hotel restaurant for dinner or breakfast but we were tired and decided not to go out. We were pleasantly surprised that both were well prepared and tasty. They were also moderately priced. Our waitresses were also very professional, helpful and pleasant. We will certainly return.

My husband and I had a terrible experience when we stayed at The Cambria Hotel. We were there from October the 1st to October the 3rd. During our stay at The Cambria Hotel, my husband and I were feeling under the weather and desperately needed to get some sleep. From the very first night , we couldn't relax or sleep because children were slamming doors and running up and down the hall way for hours. During the second night of our stay, several females in their 20s were running down the hallways and doing push ups against the walls. They also would purposely slamming doors, screaming , and laughing as if they were doing this to disturb the hotel guests. My husband and I asked to be moved to a different location in the hotel. The night clerk on duty, moved us to a different room which was located in an area of the hotel not affected by the noise that we were hearing. On the morning of day number 3, October the 3rd, I was approached by The general manager of The Cambria Hotel. The general manager Ashley, was not only unprofessional but thoughtless and very rude to me. She informed me that she heard that we had complaints about our stay at the hotel. The manner in which she addressed me was very hostile and abrasive. The general manager never introduced herself to me or asked me about the issue , but instead she just addressed me in a very nasty and coarse manner. While speaking to me , she rolled her eyes and stared at me as if I had done something to upset her. She told me the hotel is never quiet and it’s always loud. She went further to dictate to me that she was not moving us any more just because we were feeling sick. Also, she told me that we couldn't get any more housekeeping services during our stay there. My question obviously would be, how can you go without housekeeping when you are sick and feeling ill during your stay. As a paying guest at any hotel, I expect to be treated with respect , dignity, and first rate professionalism. This particular hotel manager obviously doesn't understand how to do this and she utterly failed to give my husband and I the respect that we deserved. My husband and I decided to leave because we were treated unfairly, and were not shown any regard or compassion, which obviously should have been given under the circumstances. I want to warn any future guests to The Cambria Hotel in Davenport/ Bettendorf that there are some people employed there that will treat you no better than a common beggar. I have filed a former complaint with Choice Hotels. My hope is that no one else will have to deal with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy at The Cambria Hotel Davenport/ Bettendorf. Professionalism means consistently achieving high standards, in the work you do and the way you behave. To me a good leader acts in control, without getting carried away. **** URINE SOAKED THROUGH BEDDING **** No Cancellation for COVID **** I will start with the lesser of the 2 complaints. I have never, ever left a bad review. I have left several good reviews. Just sayin’. I was unable to cancel my room even though I tried. I tested positive for COVID 2 days before my stay. I called immediately to cancel, and the woman said that as a HUMAN running a business, she could not cancel for every person that got sick. I later learned that the hotel was fully booked so the company would have been just fine and likely still fully booked with my cancellation for COVID 2 days prior to check-in. I tried to plead my case offering to send her the positive COVID result and she refused. More to the story…. I initially was planning to share the room with my sister visiting from out of town but transferred the room to her name so she could check in. ****My sister just let me know that URINE SOAKED THROUGH THE BEDDING!!!! Gross!!! Period.**** What kind of HUMAN rents out a room with a mattress like that?!?! The housekeeper cleaning the room surely knew a bed was wet enough for URINE to soak through the bedding and should be trained to notify someone so something like this never happens! Period. Apparently, it was more important to the general manager that the hotel was fully booked than allowing a guest to sleep on a urine-soaked mattress. So wrong.
