L'Armoric Hôtel - RÉNOVÉ

Just returned home after a very pleasant week at the Armoric Hotel and I would like to thank all the people who work there for their friendly welcome. A special mention of course for Irene's delicious cooking! My favourite dish was the Dinde avec Sauce Aigre Douce. The choice of dishes is amazing and dinner, like breakfast, is very good value. The position of the hotel is one of its major attributes, everything is within walking distance and walking around Benodet is a pleasure in itself. The atmosphere is that of a traditional seaside hotel, where the owners seem genuinely concerned that you enjoy your holiday and who work very hard. There is always somebody available to deal with queries, make you a drink and offer advice. I found the bed very comfortable and particularly liked the 2 chairs around the desk, not sure if they are baroque or empire style. The chairs on the small terrace were comfortable as well. My room gave onto the garden and it was wonderful, coming from a large city to be able to listen to the birds singing and sometimes nothing at all. The music was exactly to my taste in the restaurant, such a change from the usual muzak which aspires to provide ambiance but does completely the reverse.

We have just returned from a visit to this hotel. It is our third or fourth visit and we love it here. The hotel is clean and comfortable. As are the beds. The staff are great, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. and the food is grea.t. The gardens and pool are lovely and it is a pleasure to sit outside with a glass of wine in the evenings. Benodet is a nice town on the estuary with several good restaurants and a good market. Can recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 en route to South France. Wish we’d had longer!!! The hotel owners and staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating and just so welcoming. We’d never been to Benodet before but we will certainly be returning for longer next time. It was stunning!!

We loved this family run hotel. It was charming. We had the best meal of the holiday here. Hake meniere. I hope I spelt this right. The garden is lovely for a drink in the evenings. We were there during the heat wave and it was great to sit under the trees in the cool. There could have been more comfy garden furniture. Strangely we didn’t see any business people. We will be back

A warm welcome from Michel and Irene, and a friendly family run hotel made sure we had a great holiday. The room was lovely and bed very comfortable - we slept so well! Everything was clean, the pool was warm and the beer from the bar cold - what more could you want? Breakfast had a good variety, and the chef kindly accommodated my food allergies when we had an evening meal (which was yummy!). Parking undercover for the motorbike was a welcome bonus. Overall a great stay and we'd happily go again. Thank you Michel and Irene - wishing you a successful season.

Wir verbrachten 6 Nächte im Hotel Amoric in Benodet, die wir sehr genossen haben. Wir hatten ein Superiorzimmer, das wirklich sehr groß ist, auch das Badezimmer ist groß. Die Einrichtung ist etwas historisch, aber wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Zimmer (Nr. 27) ist im 2. Stock nach hinten zum Garten gelegen und sehr ruhig. Der große Garten des Hauses ist wunderschön gepflegt und es gibt einen kleinen Pool, Tischtennis und viele schöne Ecken um sich auszuruhen. Das Hotel wird familiär geführt und man kommt an Chef und Chefin nie ohne einen netten Plausch vorbei. Das Essen im Restaurant ist seinen Preis wert. Es gibt z.B. ein Menu für 19 € mit Fischsuppe oder kleinem Meeresfrüchteteller als Vorspeise, Fisch bzw. Rindfleisch des Tages und Dessert bzw. Käse. Wir haben mehrmals im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und waren immer zufrieden.
