the staff were so friendly. The room was Comfortable and clean and had everything you needed. The motel is located in a great spot and it is an easy walk to the main street .

Rang to book a room and spoke with Carolyn. Amazing customer service offering a cheaper price than the internet and a free continental breakfast, which you collect from reception on check in. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a king bed which we did. The larger bed does cut down the room space but was ok. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Plates,bowls and cutlery etc. There was extras such as toothbrushes and make up wipes. Such a great touch. Large bath towels. We had room 7 and our car park was a bit tight for our car but got it in there( Ford Ranger), also plenty of parking out the front on the street. Very quirky room door with a smaller door you open to make it a wire door. Great to allow air flow. Would recommend to The Oval Motel to anyone. Thanks Carolyn.

Excellent is not adequate. Super clean, I just love the french touch, Everythink you need is at your finger tips and there is also room service ( check ot the menu).. on cool nights the heater is turned on and your room is lit and warm.. Location right in the centre and acros the road from the main oval ( if you want jog) and for the swimmers aibeautiful pool is just a short warm up walk.. Yes you wont be disappointed.

This was an awesome little find in Bendigo. Just after booking we were contact by the lovely Caroline who informed us that we could checkin early which we did. What greeted us in upstairs room 26 was a beautifully renovated room with all the features we could want for a 1 night stay ( more if you wanted). We had 2 double beds which we so comfortable! The room had a microwave, bowls, cutlery, coffee and we were also provided with our choice of milk upon arrival. Though the amply equipped bathroom isn't renovated it is immaculately clean. Road noise during the day, but surprisingly quiet at night. It is across the road from the footy oval, so during footy season you hear the crowd and sirens but it's not a bother. Within walking distance to pubs, resraurant, Ulumbarra Theatre and the square. Thank you Caroline for a great stay!

We stayed overnight in Bendigo to attend an exhibition at the Art Gallery. The Oval Motel is centrally located, about 5-10 minutes walk down View Street to the city centre. It's an older building but the bedroom we had been updated and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was another story - small, long and narrow - it would benefit from an upgrade. Note that the motel is located on Barnard Street, which gets busy. Request a room at the back if you're sensitive to road noise. Also recommend booking directly through their website for a better deal.

We arrived in Bendigo by train and walked to the motel which was a 15minute walk and the location was great. Staff were friendly and let us check in early and asked us which milk we want and told us about the lookout tower step counting challenge. The room was great and the only downside was the absence of a shower curtain and there were no overhead lights. There were more than enough towels and soap a toothbrush and toothpaste as well as Shampoo and other toiletries were all provided. The table was small but had cutlery a toaster, kettle, microwave, tea coffe and a fridge. They also have breakfast starting from $8 but we decided not to opt. If they had a stove you could probably stay there for a week but without one it’s perfect for a overnight stay or 2 night stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the oval hotel. We had our 3 yr old daughter who loved her stay and the instant access to kids TV. The room was so clean when we entered it that you could literally eat off the floor. It had a welcoming homey feel as we walked in. The Beds were perfectly made and very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet area was extremely clean and tidy. My partner and I would definitely highly recommend staying here, we back again. We loved it. Thank you to Gary and Carolyn for your lovely warm welcome and hospitality. You gave us the feeling of being at home. We will definitely see you again on our next adventure to Bendigo. Very clean comfortable motel. Older style, but pristine condition. Shower hot and forceful. Huge white fluffy towels . Bed extremely comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Got a discount on breakfast because we booked directly with motel. Gave lots of recommendations for dinner, ended up walking to Old Boundary hotel around the corner. Food was excellent.
