I stay at this hotel expecting a decent 3-star experience, especially considering the rate is over IDR 900,000 per night. Unfortunately, what I get is far from acceptable.
I book two rooms. The first one has a visibly dirty floor as soon as I enter—either it hasn’t been cleaned properly or the stains are permanent. The smell in the room is also unpleasant and hard to ignore. The second room isn’t any better, with a bedcover that has a strange, crusty-looking stain that makes me uncomfortable.
In terms of amenities, the room is severely lacking. There’s only one dental kit in a room meant for two, no hand soap at the sink, and not even a glass for rinsing—something I expect as a basic standard in any hotel, let alone one in this price range. The AC also doesn’t cool the room properly.
When I go down for breakfast at around 8 AM (still two hours before breakfast ends), most of the food is already gone. Staff are nowhere to be found and not helpful when they do appear. A trainee tells me the food will be refilled, but I wait and nothing gets restocked. Tables are still dirty from previous guests, and it’s hard to find a clean place to sit. The variety of food is also disappointing—there’s “chicken porridge,” but no chicken? It just doesn’t make sense.
To make things worse, I get woken up at 2 AM by the sound of vacuuming in the hallway. It’s absurd that cleaning is done at such an hour.
Overall, I feel incredibly let down. This hotel does not live up to its star rating or price. I’ve stayed at other hotels near the airport with similar prices that offer much better service and facilities.
