The Cheviot Hotel

The pub is very nice the beer is very good the girl behind the bar, Rebecca i think was her name was very nice, but we found the food to be less than average. Shame it spoils a good pub as far as we are concerned. If we only want a drink we will go back again.

Busy hotel bar and restaurant on a Tuesday night. Walk in and immediately offered a table. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers and wines and a pretty comprehensive menu. Food came quickly and was well prepared. Very reasonable price and would stop again.

My wife and I stopped here by chance one Sunday lunchtime so we ordered some food, the staff were very prompt and helpful, delivered our drinks and took our orders, the food arrived in good time and was of good quality, hot and the portion size was great. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly go there again.

Used to be a great pub. Been going for years. Now under new ownership, staff couldn't care less and act like you're inconveniencing them. Food not what it was - overpriced, we and the people on table next to us left half our meals on our plates because of the bad quality. Fortunately this lovely village has other pubs/restaurants!

Been coming to bellingham many years , the cheviot was a favourite place to visit , no longer !!! last week we were charged 18£ for a bottle of wine , this week we were charged 24£ for the same bottle of wine when queried the response was " new owners" , it was new owners the previous week ,HOW CAN THEY JUSTIFY A 6 POUND INCREASE IN ONE WEEK

The rooms are above the pub and exceeded our expectations for small village accommodation. We stayed there after a Kielder dark skies observatory visit. The rooms ( we travelled with a friend) were spacious , and clean and the beds were really comfortable. They seemed recently refurbished. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a hotel with really good quality food. But the best feature of all of this was the staff who were welcoming and helpful. We ate in the pub the evening before our Kielder experience and there was a very friendly atmosphere.
