Santosha Barbados

This was such a lovely experience! The guy at the front desk (so sad I forgot his name) was super friendly and helpful. The view was amazing and relaxing.. the property is very well kept and definitely a place to go for a nice little get away! I would certainly go again when I go back to Barbados!

We were looking for somewhere on the NE coast for a couple of days in mid-March, and found Santosha Barbados. Booked a room for 2 night - it was really expensive at US$250/night. But the photos looked good, and there isn't a lot of choice on the east coast. We got one of the dungeon rooms on the bottom. Was a bit of a cave inside. All sorts of problems, such as one dial for the burner was broken, tiny fridge very loud and far too small (the upper rooms have bigger ones), freezer area iced up, smallest lowest-quality TV I've ever seen, pillows far too soft, loud noise from people walking above, shabby everywhere, smelled musty, shower built for midgets, sink plug in bathroom not closing, no plug for the kitchen sink, rust, electrical sockets that looked dangerous. Bed was ok. The pool was ok, but the decking was dangerous - boards lifting as a tripping hazard, cracks and rotten wood everywhere. The sort-of jacuzzi seating area in the mini pool was a mess - slimy, leaves everywhere. The whole place is in serious need of a LOT of investment. And the icing on this cake was we met a couple who stayed in the best room - the middle one on the top floor - and they paid almost HALF what we did, US$150/night. On a positive note, the bright light was the young, very friendly and accommodating manager, Xavier, who tried his best to sort out the most egregious problems. My litmus test of how good a place is, is whether I would go back. And my answer for Santosha Barbados is a huge NO, unless we get an upper floor room for US$100/night or less. It's not worth paying any more than that. And I wouldn't stay in a dungeon room again.

We had a fantastic time the room was very nice and clean the self catering kitchen is amazing it feels like home away from home the area is also very peaceful and quiet will definitely be back it was a lovely experience we really enjoyed our stay!

I always stay here but this time I tried to book and I was to late. I was booked at another hotel by Soup Bowls and I needed a dependable taxi ride at 3am. I was afraid to ask any random taxi driver to show up so I called Santosha because in the past while I stayed there we had many 3am pickups. I trust Santosha to always come thru wether it is with their PERFECT rooms or HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The bottom floor apartments are my favorite by a country mile. Food is SO HIGH PRICED that Santosha's kitchens save the day and allow you to travel back to Barbados without freaking out about how your going to afford to eat. VERY VERY Clean... A PLUS STAFF....Ground Floor apartment/studios are AWESOME..... ALL apartments with clean good kitchen wares. Beds are big clean and new sheets not old ones. Pillows clean and new. Views are beautiful. Pool is very cool for the kids. One last thing so peaceful, look up at the stars at night by the pool on a clear night. Ive been all around the world but this spot while looking at the stars makes you feel as though your in a PLANETARIUM!!! Perfect Perfect Perfect! Xavier is a great addition to the Santosha Team!! Loved it here! Room was big with a balcony with a fantastic view over the rugged coastline. We’ll stocked for cooking. Beautiful part of the island close to many sightseeing spots…. Angel Flower Cove, St Nicholas Abby, Hunte garden Speightstown. Highly recommend if you want to see Barbados! Zavier, hotel manager very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.
