Beijing Zhuyuan Holiday Villa

Location - in a gated area, we were refused entry because we arrived a different time than was informed to the security. Had to wait for the security guard to be re-informed before they let us in. Good location only because it is just next to Gubei Watertown & a view of Simatai Great Wall at night with its lights. Facilities - Apartment was okay. Nothing to shout about. It was furnished more like a playschool and even has a projector and a mini playground for kids outside. Probably used before as a pre-school/child care? The paint on the ceiling of the porch and verandah were peeling The unit we stayed in is a private apartment unit. Not a boutique hotel. Not a licensed tourist accommodation? Their listing on Trip.com and a couple of other hotel booking platform is quite misleading giving wrong impressions. Having stayed in Abnb's before, for me the shocking thing that confronted us about having to stay in a private accommodation here in Beijing was that we were required to make a police report at the local station on our intended stay. Thank God we had a very good guide with us who called and checked beforehand and discovered that requirement and helped us to make the required report. Had we been on our own and no local to guide us, I wonder if the apartment owner would have condescended to do the necessary for us. My gripe: 1. I feel shortchanged as we were given a lower floor unit, instead of the higher floor. The person who checked us told us that upper units are only roomed units? while in the Trip.com booking there were definitely 2 room nicer units on the higher floor. 2. The onus is on the OWNER to inform that non-locals are required to make police report at the local police station before we are allowed to rent their place. Why didn't they? Wondering if Trip.com is aware of this requirement of foreigners booking this place to stay need to first go to the police station to make a police report. Not recommended place for international guests and those without transport.

房間在景區旁邊，我們定好了以後給前台打了電話，告訴了我們哪個停車場更近一點，確實挺近的我們停在了一號停車場，走過去十分鐘就到了，房間很乾凈，走到景區也就三五分鐘就到了，接待的小姐姐很盡心，房間裏東西也很齊全，非常滿意，以後會推薦朋友來入住！

房間乾淨整潔，地理位置就在景區大門口旁邊，距離景區也就五分鐘，前台服務熱情周到，房間設施齊全，挺好的，下次還會再來！

不錯不錯，非常不錯，乾淨方便，距離景區很近，司機小哥接送行李，很貼心，耶

之前來過水鎮，這次選擇了這家民宿，錯開週六日來的，人不多，房間很乾凈整潔，房間內還有小冰箱，前台小姐姐還給免費升房了，並且推薦了水鎮的遊玩時間和遊玩方法，超級棒的服務！太貼心了，下次再來還住這家！
