Hôtel La Villa Fleurie

We stayed at Hotel La Villa Fleurie for one night during our summer holidays. The hotel is really well equipped, including the outdoor space, The beds were comfortable and the rooms and bathroom super clean. Great showers. Jonathan was such a friendly host and we loved the personally served breakfast. 10 mins walk into town. Highly recommended - much nicer than staying in one of the personality void chains.

I booked this B&B because of the very good comments I read, and I now I understand why. This hotel had everything we needed: - Located in a quiet place but at the same time very close to the old town (10 min) and the train station (5 min) - Very nice and clean rooms with renewed bathrooms - Parking - Complete breakfast (and very nice as well) Last but not least, the host (Jonathan) has been clearly a plus in our stay. Always attentive to our demands, giving very good recommedations and taking care of every guest. Thank you Jonathan for your service! I recommend the Villa Fleurie and I would come back for sure.

The hotel is fairly close to the train station and not too difficult of a walk if you do not have a car. They do have parking at the hotel which would be convenient if you do have a car. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the city walls where there are plenty of shops and cafes. If you do have trouble walking too much though keep that in mind. There really isn’t too much directly near the hotel for dinner, groceries, etc. We were only there for one night, so it didn’t bother us. The hotel is decorated in a simple lovely style and everything was clean. The gentleman who checked us in was nice and gave us a few recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the city. We did choose to pay for the breakfast at the hotel which was your standard French breakfast with some pastries, cheese, meat, yogurt, eggs, etc. It was good as well as the pot of coffee. There is no coffee maker in the room and no water that I’m aware of. I wanted a beer that evening, but unfortunately they had ran out. It’s a bit of an older building so the floors squeak and the walls aren’t super insulated so we could hear the neighboring rooms fairly easily, but thankfully everyone went to bed at a decent time and weren’t unruly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it. There’s a pizza truck place we wanted to try as it received so many good ratings, but it was a bit of a walk without a car. We ended up getting a pizza at L’oriental since it was by the train station and closer.

First class hotel. Perfectly located, just outside the city walls and 5 minutes walk from train station. The host was most helpful throughout my stay and good to talk to. The air conditioning in the rooms was excellent and needed (34 degrees C outside). Very good quality breakfast and the multi-national nature of the guests made for some good conversations also some good fun with the boiled egg head remover! Do try the local beer, it is brewed about 100m from the hotel. I would definitely return.

What a delightful accommodation! Jonathan was a great host who provided exceptional service and warmth. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was the perfect assortment of fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, breads, fruit, yogurt, eggs, ham and cheese. Oh did I mention the fresh squeezed orange juice!

Just a very sweet little hotel located just outside the walls of the old town. We liked that the car park was pretty secure, as we had a car full of luggage that we didn't want to off load just for the night. Room was small but the bed very comfortable and the shower excellent.
