Hôtel ibis Styles Beaulieu Sur Mer

Of all the hotels we've stayed here in France, this was undoubtedly the best. It's not a 5-star hotel, but the welcome made it 5-star. We felt welcomed. I'd like to mention the receptionist Suelen. Very friendly, attentive, polite and well-dressed. We'll definitely be back. From now, it will be our first choice here in the Côte d'Azur.

I'd like to thank the cleaning ladies. The room was always clean. And a big applause for the receptionist whose name we won't forget because she said: Suelen but not from Dallas! Very funny, with beautiful hair, a sweet English accent and above all a super woman! During the days we were at the hotel we saw her doing everything. Helping the clients with informations about the city and the transports, assisting customers at reception and also doing technical work, including in our room with the safe box and air conditioning. Bravo! We 100% recommend the hotel.

Excellent location just 2mins walk from the Beaulieu Train Station and in the heart of town. Two excellent restaurants within 2 mins walk (Le Catalan & Fabrik). The start of the famous Cap Ferat walk as well as Villa Kyrios is only a 10min walk as well as the beautiful beach. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms a reasonable size for an Ibis. The bed was huge and comfortable and a good standard of hygiene and also a room fridge which was useful (and quiet- hard to find in most hotels). Couple of disappointing things 1) hot water seemed an issue- it seemed to just disappear and get progressively colder over the 4 nights we were there 2) the aircon wouldn’t turn cold. I would say these were just temporary issues as the hotel seemed very well maintained. Breakfast was nice ( just continental) with a nice breakfast area. Really cool they had a shoeshine machine in the lobby to. I’m a dedicated leather brogues wearer so really appreciated it.

We stayed for a few days and based ourselves here for a trip to Monaco. The hotel is ideally placed next to the station. The breakfasts are great - especially the fresh orange juice. The rooms are a good size and clean. The staff were all excellent - really friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Great location, good facilities and most of all wonderful friendly staff. We had a really relaxing stay here as a group of friends. We were on a bit of a budget and found the hotel to be perfect and really good value for money.

Part of the Accor empire, Ibis Styles does budget hotel configuration well offering value with reasonable comfort at a fair price. Well, they normally would. This time we paid 2.5X nine months in advance with no chance of cancellation. Such are the joys of supply and demand during the Rugby World Cup. At least they gave us their largest room configuration on the top floor and on the back wall. This eliminated any road noise from the front of the hotel and provides a decent side view of the distant harbor. There was even a small balcony. The hotel location is excellent, next to the quiet small train station in Beaulieu and along a pleasant shopping street. While the minimalist furniture is pretty IKEA, the large bed was quite comfortable. There is barely room to get around it. Bathroom fixtures are rather austere, but they managed to get a rainwater shower in. Lighting is nearly adequate. As one would expect, the towels are pretty thin, and the soap is of the liquid dispensing kind. The complimentary breakfast is adequate if not exceptional. The front desk was helpful if not effusive. They did arrange for storage of our extensive luggage when we showed up very early after an international flight brought us to their front door before most of the previous night's guests had checked out. Beaulieu is a charming town. This is a clean and respectable place to hang your hat.

Staff were helpful and pleasant. The rate was very reasonable. Breakfast was reasonable - although there was no eggs station and on one morning the boiled eggs ran out (but there is plenty of cheese crossaints and coffee to get your day going). The air conditioning in many French hotels only comes on in the heat of the summer months - I think possibly this is cultural difference as I think in the US and UK we are akin to a different standard. It wasn’t on during our stay but management were very helpful by moving us to two adjoining rooms from the family room which faced the street noise for an extra charge. For this I thank the hotel manager Gabriel for accommodating us. The underground car park was a bit tricky to locate and the spaces were tight, but it is to be expected in the south of France. Don’t hire a car if you don’t have the stomach for it.

When we arrived to check in, the front desk staff looked at us and carried on typing on their phone. We waited few minutes, and still they didn't even say "Hello". They took quite some time just to find our booking on their system. Eventually we got the keys to our room. The room was very small, no spaces to open suitcases. The balcony views were amazing. Only problem with the rooms are the AC is very weak and there was so much noise you could hear from the walls and ceilings of hoovering or moving furniture really early in the mornings, which was quite annoying. Breakfast was poor, very limited selection. Hardly enough seats or tables available in the small space, so often families had to stand on the side to wait for a table to be free. However we really loved the fact the train station and bus stop were literally opposite the hotel. There is a nearby supermarket and a few restaurants down the street which was perfect. Overall, I would probably find another hotel to stay at to avoid the noise and really small rooms. Most staff do not really take pride or offer a decent level of customer service. Other Ibis hotels I've stayed at have been great, but not this one unfortunately

We stayed for 4 nights as a family of three. The room was tiny, there was nowhere to open suitcases. Bathroom was also small. The rate was ca 200 per night so not such a great value for basic three star hotel. Saving grace was a balcony which had table and two comfortable chairs. Complementary breakfast was very limited. It was difficult to sleep as trains and buses stop just in front of the hotel. We wanted to take advantage of the train station on the door step but because the town is just before Monaco, trains are packed and you cannot board them - unless you push yourself in which is impossible to do with suitcases - we end up taking an uber to Menton as we could not get in two trains in the row. The staff is young and quite indifferent. Overall everything works and if you have low expectations and don’t mind still paying over the odds, you will be fine. The U supermarket nearby is great value, probably best in France. The local beaches are around the port, not that great or clean. I am not sure if this place is for us unless we try the only suite they have which was not available at the time we booked. It is not about Ibis Styles as the one in Menton is fabulous. It just feels that staff does not really want to take pride of this place, they just keep it going.
