Inn on Turner

My husband and I stayed at the Inn over the New Year for our anniversary. Kim and Jon were so accommodating and more than that, they were just nice. The food was excellent every morning and made the start of the day easy. There were things that I wouldn't cook at home but I enjoyed at the Inn. It was so nice to have someone take the time to find out what we liked to do in order to make recommendations for how to spend our day. Kim was so wonderful to make reservations for us for anything we wanted from food to the ferry. Staying in an inn can have pros and cons. You don't want to feel like you are staying in your Great Aunt Emma's house but you want it feel homey. The Inn on Turner has just the right combination of comfort, privacy and ease of use. Check in and check out were a breeze. We loved having the cocktails at night and Kim even went over and above and left us a midnight snack for New Year's. There was not one thing that I wanted or needed that wasn't attended to. The Inn was just far enough way from town to walk but not feel like you were in the thick of things. There were so many great shops and restaurants and bars that you could be there for days and not get to them all. tI would go back again for sure.

Picture this.....a group of 5 guests finds themselves on the iconic front porch of the Inn on Turner several months ago and instantly new friendships are created. The group so enjoyed each other that there was nowhere else to start the Holiday season together than where the friendship started.....Inn on Turner. From the thoughtfully crafted, beautifully plated, and a joy to the tastebuds breakfasts to the evening "happy hour" of hot apple cider and bourbon - our stay at the Inn on Turner was perfect. The rooms are wonderfully appointed with luxury linens, toiletries, and comfortable beds. Kim and Jon are the ultimate hosts who make sure that every detail - needed or anticipated - is taken care of. The Inn is decked out in its Holiday best and is the perfect setting for enjoying all that Beaufort has to offer during the holiday season. We are already talking about our return trip in the spring.

We arrived later than expected thurs evening but the entry to the inn and our room was so easy and seamless. The Inn was elegantly decorated for the Holidays and our room was spotless. Sheets/towels and all the extras were in place and so appreciated. We knew at this point the weekend was going to be special. Honestly, special is an understatement. Kim and Jon (innkeepers) left no stone unturned. Each day we were given the most incredible breakfast and the introduction to the meal and the days activities by Kim became something I looked forward to more than the meal itself. She is a fantastic host. Throughout the day we ebbed and flowed throughout the town and the inn is so convenient to everything, we walked everywhere. Location, location, location. Each day a happy hour capped the day's activities and sent you out to dinner in such good spirits. Incredible little snacks and beverages were placed in the lobby for each of the guests. During our stay we thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with the other guests and were made to feel so welcomed by Kim and Jon. We even had the pleasure to meet some friends of Kim's who in conversation went so far as to say "Oh, Kim, she is the Queen of Hospitality!". We laughed at the moment and continued our interaction. But upon leaving that Sunday my wife and I concluded and agreed that Kim's friend was not kidding. She was spot on with her comment about Kim. The best encounter and stay I have ever had at a B and B. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Truly the best weekend celebrating my wife's birthday. Left feeling like we just added not only to our memories but our friend list as well. Cheers to Kim and Jon and all the guests that shared this weekend with us. We are HUGE fans of The Inn on Turner and have stayed multiple times. Recently it is an annual December trip for Beaufort's wonderful candlelight tour. This year we were excited to have the Christmas Market the same weekend. It is rare to have a vacation lodging destination where the owners are also considered dear friends, but that is absolutely the case with Kim and Jon that run the Inn. They are truly passionate about their business and exceeding the expectations of their guests. The Inn and each room are very comfortable and the breakfast's are just AMAZING. The evening cocktail hour is equal in being amazing with new surprises each year- evidence of Kim and Jon's passion for their business and guest's enjoyment. Rarely are guests not requesting a recipe. We look forward to our stay each year and HIGHLY recommend the Inn on Turner to anyone looking to stay in Beaufort. I think the secret is out and only down-side to this review is the Inn on Turner becoming more popular than it is but that is a good problem for Kim and Jon......... & well deserved!

EVERY detail is their focus! Such attention to our comfort and enjoyment!! Absolutely phenomenal! The bed and pillows~ incredibly comfy, room spray~ AMAZING, the food~ fantastic, and the ambiance~ pure relaxation! Our hostess left us wanting nothing! We'll be back!!

We are thrilled we could return to the Inn On Turner this year. Beaufort NC has a real gem with this Inn! The time and consideration Kim and Jon show their guests is amazing. From the unique and yummy Happy Hour drinks to the fabulous breakfasts to the sharing of travel stories, there are no words to describe the thought and care given to us. We left well rested, new recipes to try and reservations for next year!
