A group of us stayed here as part of a motorcycle tour this September. Arranging this had been easy directly by e-mail, quick responses and all queries resolved. Arrangements for us to park our motorcycles securely had been made, as the car park is being renovated. The welcome and booking in was easy. The bar staff very friendly, we ate at the Mexican themed restaurant and the food was great. Rooms were clean and well presented. A great start to our trip.

Our tour group was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. My room was very nice and I had no problem with anything there. You are steps away from many of the Bastogne museums and the main square, where you can find many restaurants and cafe's. Breakfast the following morning was about C. Some selection but cold eggs are not good. Make sure you find the microwave to heat them up.

Second time to stay at this wonderful hotel. Came by motorbike and as others have said its ideal. The public areas are lovely, the bar area and restaurant have a great ambience and the breakfast room area perfect with buffet choice of breakfast foods to suit all appetites. We ate at the restaurant and the choice was as good as the standard of food and service. Great location for the short walk into the town centre, and for the bus station around the corner for the bus service to the war memorial museum. Rooms are large and well appointed with tea /coffee and a mini fridge with water. We love it here and will return again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Staying at the Hotel Melba was perfect for both couples. We travelled on motorcycles and were allowed to leave the bikes undercover and secure close to the main door of the hotel. The rooms were very spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. The buffet breakfast choice was also excellent.

This hotel had excellent reviews. We paid €150 for an executive twin room. The facilities of the hotel seemed to justify the cost. We arrived at 15:00hrs We were told that we were lucky as this was the last available room in the hotel. At breakfast we spoke to another guest who was also told this arrived 3 hours after us. If the hotel was honest at the point of check in I would have gone elsewhere. The tea and coffee in the room were well beyond the best before date as they were one solid lump. Only 1 tea and. 2 coffee. The air conditioning unit was unusable due to the noise. No instructions on usage. Eager to try the highly promoted restaurant we were very disappointed to be told the bar and restaurant were closed on Sunday. Again if told this when we booked in we would have gone elsewhere. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice to have a kettle but ended up going to a local shop to buy coffee as reception was empty to get any more. Breakfast was good tasty and fresh. In checkout as there was a member of staff there we went over our issues. We were told we should have check details before booking it’s not the responsibility of the hotel to explain everything. Complete lack of concern

I landed on Hotel Melba from reviews I’d read on TA and searching other sites for reviews and feedback on the hotel. Hotel Melba was home for a 3-day stay in Bastogne. It was a bit odd to not have AC (note that we were there in the summer with temps in the 70s and low 80s (21-26C), but with the loaned fans and open windows we made do just fine. Our room was very clean when we checked in and the bathroom seemed to have been recently remodeled as did other parts of the hotel. We had ample, free on-site parking (on street was also available), everyone single staff member we dealt with was fantastic. While the buffet breakfasts were quite good, we (three of us) we’re too impressed with the one dinner we had the night we got it. The food and service were OK, but you have quite a few better options within a short walk from the hotel. I’d be happy to stay here again should I find myself back in Bastogne. At 125e/night for a double, I felt the rate was very good as well. My standard hotel qualifier: I have stayed in many different hotels in Vietnam, China, Indonesia, India as well as central and southern Europe and all over the US. On a level playing field, they have ranked from 5 star to -5 star. Some I would move into, and some I slept in my clothes on top of the covers.

Nice hotel, large rooms with large comfortable bed, large bathroom with rainshower. Parking behind hotel, free of charge. Breakfast was not up to same standards. A 5 minute walk from town center, where not much happens, most restaurants and attractions are closedon Mondays (and some on Tuesday)

I had the pleasure of staying at this rather funky, and stylish, hotel whilst working in Bastogne. The hotel is clean and modern and serves good food and drink. Perhaps Melba’s outstanding quality is the level of service provided. The staff helped with making me a packed lunch for an early morning 5:30 start, and just as helpfully squeezed me in to the restaurant when they were already fully booked. Great service and one minute walk to the town centre, I would be more than happy to revisit.

Very nice hotel with a good size room and lovely walk in shower. Our bed was very comfortable. No AC but we did not need it when we were there. The breakfasts were very good with a nice variety. Our tour group ate dinner there in a Mexican themed room and it was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is situated within walking distance of town which is very convenient.
