Barry Island

Check in was quick and easy. My room contained everything required plus was clean and tidy. Breakfast in the Brewer's Fayre restaurant was delicious and there was a fantastic selection to choose from. I'll definitely return here in the future.

we chose this hotel because our daughter loves gavin and stacey and this is placed perfectly for all sights and locations.Half an hour drive to Cardiff and the coastal villages are lovely.Clean quiet hotel pleasant staff and theres a brewers fayre next door which is handy

The positives- location good for Gavin and Stacey tour and walking into Barry Island and as with every Premier inn convenient for a good breakfast location and beds comfortable in family room. Negatives - noisy, staff disinterested and my biggest issue was the lack of hygiene. States for two nights and the room was dusty and not properly cleaned as was the bathroom. The whole room not well maintained with curtains not fully attached, cracks and dents in walls, rust in bathroom- needs a thorough clean in rooms and public areas and a good paint. Could be as nice and functional as other Premier Inns I've stayed in but staff apparently not that bothered. Even asking for decaf coffee was a major issue and told they didn't have sachets. I should add that we then went to Swansea Waterfront Premier inn where we had a lovely well maintained room and lovely happy helpful staff

The best premier inn we have stopped in to date Food on the door step (Brewers fayre next door) Superb buffet breakfast kids eat free with paying adult meal deal is well worth it, 1 drink and 2 courses just gotta pay for kids as not included Free parking free WiFi Docks just across the road, lovely market on an old train to the right of hotel Nice 10 min walk into barry sea front Ideal spot for gavin and Stacey fans to see trinity Street marcos cafe etc etc What more could asked for superb from start to finish even had lovely blue sky fir the 2 days

The hotel is fine. Staff were helpful, breakfast next door was fine and the location is good for getting to Barry Island. We did think that the building was just a bit tired in a few places. Overall Premier Inn hotels are very consistent across locations and a dependable choice, although not truly budget any more.

Came to Barry as we are huge G&S fans and the Hotel is in a perfect location. It’s only small and the staff on reception were lovely. Stayed for two nights and would have loved to have give a 5* however the cleanliness of the rooms just weren’t 100%
