Premier Inn Barrow-In-Furness

The whole outside needs work. The door to the Annex was broken so didn't need the key card. Inside was tired, TV signal poor, the remote didn't work and trying to use the buttons on the side was hit and miss. Finally, one of the teacups had not been wash, tea stains all around it.

The pillows are the fluffiest I’ve ever felt and Emma made me and the team very welcome, great service and always a cheery smile!!! ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. ;-)

The hotel is in a great position to visit the Dockyard museum (next door). The staff were very friendly and the room very quiet and super comfortable (so much so we overlaid for breakfast). I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area.

We stayed here for 1 night after visiting Lake Windermere for a day out. Check-in in was good, very friendly lady on reception. The hotel is split in two. One block where reception is and another block over the car park. We booked a Premier Plus room which was located in the same building as reception. It was very nice and clean. The Nespresso machine had Tesco Finest pods not Nespresso as was the complimentary water in the little fridge. This does not bother us but I thought I would mention it. There is a "big" Tesco right over the road. Google will tell you it's a 5 minwalk, it's about 1 minute. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant attached it's a Brewers Fayre next door. The evening meal was not good. The starters were cold and the mains were mediocre at the best (partner paid for the upgrade to a mixed grill and most of it was cold, overcooked and inedible). The breakfast was slightly better but I wouldn't run back. I always look at hotels as would I go back and to be honest I couldn't fault the room or the staff so I would! I'd just swerve the meals and nip to Tesco.

Paula was an absolute star. Nothing was too much trouble. When I arrived back from work early she made up my room without hesitation. Always a friendly face on reception at all times. All staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcome. Thanks Paula

We have been staying at this Premier Inn since it opened to visit family, but it is getting well past its best. Air conditioning. We spoke to reception twice and it still didn't get fixed. In one room the air conditioning didn't work at all, so we were eventually given a fan. In the second room, the air conditioning was on full blast but the control screen was blank and wouldn't turn on, so we couldn't turn the air conditioning off, leading to a cold and noisy night for one of us. WiFi. The WiFi didn't work for any of us at all. Even when we attempted to connect to the premium (which for basic browsing we shouldn't need to) it still didn't work. Smell. The room had a strange, musty, chemically smell which stuck to our clothes. There was nobody on reception to report these things to as we left, which was frustrating.
