No 22

We've stayed at No.22 twice (so far!) and can only echo what all of the amazing reviews have already said. A beautifully restored house with attention to detail in every room, makes it a real home from home, with the added bonus of a great breakfast! Jane is a friendly and accommodating host and I would highly recommend this as the best B&B around. Perfect for us when visiting family in the area, we'll be booking again soon!

Jane was the ultimate host and the blue monkey room was divine for our two night stay ! The attention to detail was evident with the quality of everything from bedroom linen, to bathroom fittings and products fantastic. Breakfast options were perfect with something to for all tastes. Jane also gave us some great tips for our day trip around the area and subsequent journey onto Bath.

If I could give a minus rating I would. Booked about 2 months prior to my wedding day. Agreed an earlier check in of 1pm so I could get ready for my wedding. However turned up at 1pm to be told I wasn’t allowed in with my hair stylist, make up artist, mum and dad and 2 daughters. Only the guest is allowed in. How am I meant to get ready for my wedding on my own?? The lady who owns the B&B was very arrogant about it all. I left in a complete state with 2 hours until my wedding. The Barnstaple Hotel were very accommodating and immediately offered us all a room for us to all get ready. I know that Number 22 has good reviews but I was disgusted and would never recommend it to anyone.

Wow... On arrival at No 22, was greeted by Jane with a warm,friendly,welcome. A very beautifully designed, and decorated establishment, with every detail thought of. Our room was stunning, with again superb design, and comfort, including, a roll top bath,and AMAZING Monsoon shower. The room was spacious, immaculately clean,with good quality toiletries,super soft towels, and a lovely selection of teas, coffee machine, and fresh milk available. The bed was super comfortable, with good quality bedding, pillows were lovely and comfortable too. The breakfast is awesome... Amazing ,choice of fresh,good quality ingredients, and plentiful too.. Cereals, pastries, Granola pots, freshly squeezed orange juice. Plentiful choice of hot options too,all great quality. All in all, a fabulous place to stay,with transport links within 5 mins away. Fabulous location, Superb fun,warm,welcoming hosts.. Can't wait to come see you again.. Thanks for a fab, fun,stay both.

Our stay at No 22 B&B in Barnstaple was outstanding. The owners have lovingly renovated an old building, and Jane's touch is evident in the exquisite decor throughout. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and it really shows. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was of the same high standard, with a fantastic selection of options. If we're ever back in the area, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Highly recommended!

This is an absolute gem of a find. Stunning rooms with superb decor and furnishings. Breakfast is outstanding. An ideal base for those doing the South West Coastal Path in segments. We caught the bus to Croyde and walked back on Day 1 and then the bus to Westward Ho on Day 2. 33 miles ticked off. The bus station is 10 minutes walk away. Cant recommend No. 22 enough.
