Travelodge Barnsley

Excellent stay well situated. Easy access to the Trans Pennines Trail for the dogs and running. We will stay again.

It's ok for what it is, it has beds, it has a bath/shower. But a very basic hotel , no facilities on site, has a horrible smell through out the hotel and rooms which is why I'm assuming bedroom windows are left side open prior to check in . The breakfast box is disappointing, there is no difference in choice between kids and adults so save your money and get breakfast elsewhere. Very limited parking on offer so get there early. It did what it needed and gave us a bed for the night but not one that I would recommend or re visit.

This hotel is the worst my I and my staff have stayed at. The rooms & bathrooms were filthy. We were advised you would on change our bedding every six days. There were moths (dead) and plenty of them in the light fittings. The bath was mouldy and grimey. One of my staff has beem bitten several times around the legs from the clearly infested room. Windows and frsmes etc were filthy. Only one socket per room. Lights and lamps flickering. Rock hard pillows and awful wifi for only 30 minutes. Im deeply annoyed and would like a full refund

Friendly staff, very quiet and convenient situation. Needs an upgrade but very usable. Free parking excellent.

When I arrived and moved the duvet back I was disgusted to find some sort of bed bugs. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I had to sleep on the duvet and towel so I didn’t get bit again. My biggest concern is Scabies.

We visit Barnsley regularly (from Canada) and whenever here stay at this property ( as well as other Travelodge properties in the UK). This visit had us staying 3 times over three weeks for a total of 7 nights. Never been disappointed. Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Several restaurants in area and an Aldi across street Staff are always very friendly, with Beverly being top notch!! 👍👍
