Discovery Parks - Lake Bonney

Amazing facilities for all ages. Two pools, splash park, jumping pillow, playground, pump track, lake trampolines, pedal cars, canoes, pedal boats, water bikes and coffee van onsite at 7am. We were upgraded to the Deluxe Balcony Cabin, and glad we were because these are perfect and worth the money. There is enough parking at this cabin to park a boat and car for your peace of mind. The onsite boat ramp isn’t great and don’t recommend with a heavy boat but there is a concrete boat ramp just out side the complex with plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend this park for families.

Beautiful relaxing park on a lovely lake in a quiet town. We stayed 7 nights on power site with views across the lake,, enjoyed many stunning sunsets. Greet location for trips to other towns along the Murray River. The town itself had a great supermarket, with friendly people. Fabulous walking path along the lake. The park offers so many options for all visitors. Will be back.

We have stayed here a few times, mainly on a powered site, in a tent. We find the staff accommodating to our request of being on the outside of the park. Not anti social, just like having quiet time when we are away without the kids. The pools and water parks are clean, although I haven't seen any bins around the pool area and have put other people's rubbish in the bin a couple of times. The site we stay on is a decent size with a good amount of shade. The ground where we choose to stay is not grass, however is flat. Most of the other sites are grass. The sites are not cramped like some other caravan parks. Beautiful views of the lakes. I love the pontoons! You can hire kayaks and paddle boats from reception. The pool closes at 8pm. Good amenities. The only reason I said 4 instead of 5 stars, is that it can be quite expensive to stay at the park. None the less, I love the park so will continue to pay whatever is charged. Staff are accommodating with 2 cars if needed and are quite friendly. Lake Bonney is becoming our regular.

Very disappointed in state of cabin for the price. Was a standard cabin but still expect more for $155 per night. Cabin needs a full Reno to bring up to standard. Both two seater lounges were very worn & floor in front covered with black vinyl after sitting on. All fixtures in bathroom were loose & mixer tap pipes connected wrong so cold was hot & hot was cold. Could be dangerous for kids. Only saving grace was great shower & very comfortable beds. Even the tea towel left was thread bare & holy & 1 small milk for 3 people for 4 nights a bit stingy plus 1 tube of shampoo & body wash hardly enough for our stay. Great time was had visiting surrounding places of interest & the park itself was one of the best we’ve seen with lots to do for families. Would I return to a cabin stay? Probably not. Return comment I got from management was that it was a standard cabin & should come back & try a better upmarket one, but will pass on my concerns to maintenance. Maybe I could’ve been offered a discounted stay & would maybe consider another stay but no such offer was made.

Awesome park!! Best cabin we have ever stayed in. Facilities excellent, so much to do! Two pools, water park, pump track. Lake Bonney is great, fishing, paddle boats, canoes and even a trampoline on the water. Peaceful, safe, we will definitely be back.

The Deluxe sunset cabin was truly lovely and at a safe distance from its neighbours, to ensure privacy. All facilities were available, including a childrens playground. Definetely the foreshore area is great for family fun. There were a large number of caravans with families. This would make it a good networking area for families that holiday regularly. Sunrise is thrilling to watch and if you are interested in nature, there is a variety of bird life in the undergrowth.
