I checked in on May 1st and was appalled by the condition of the room and the service. The room was poorly maintained — the window plywood was chipped, the study table was broken, and the air conditioning did not work at all. We had to rely on a fan in peak summer, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable.
The bathroom door was chipped and felt unhygienic, and the main room door lacked a manual lock — a serious safety concern. Shockingly, housekeeping staff entered the room unannounced using a master key, and when confronted, they were dismissive and unconcerned.
There is a clear lack of trained staff, and the management seems completely disinterested in guest concerns. You’ll find managers in coats walking around, but none are available to actually speak with guests. The food was overpriced and subpar — even basic items like tea and coffee were disappointing.
I’ve stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Would not recommend Hotel LA to anyone
