I was very disappointed in my family's recent stay. Most maddeningly, the internet does not work at all in many bedrooms, and none of the staff seemed interested in fixing the situation – unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Many other small things went wrong, and the hotel seemed uninterested in keeping us happy. Our refrigerator broke down twice, and even though repairmen were called both times, having to throw out food and wait days without refrigeration was a major inconvenience in a place where kitchen access is a major draw. Nobody offered, for instance, to store our items for us. One of our suites had no detergent and sponges. We were told that they'd never run out before and had no idea what to do: "It's unprecedented!" A more professional hotel would have sent someone down to the store to buy the missing items, which we did ourselves. Likewise, when we ran out of paper towels and asked for more, we were told that only one roll is provided per stay. Considering how much food we had to throw out because the refrigerator didn't work, and how many thousands of dollars we spent booking 2 suites for 10 days, it was petty. We arrived to a bathtub suite when we'd booked a shower suite for accessibility reasons, and they were able to switch us – but it was an annoying and stressful arrival. For this price, you have better options in Barcelona.
