Yellow House Inn

It is hard to believe that this peaceful inn is right in the middle of Bar Harbor. I read that exact statement in other posts and didn't really believe it. It's true! Tucked behind the center of Bar Harbor, the Yellow House Inn is such an oasis. Sara was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The blueberry margaritas at happy hour are NOT to be missed! The continental breakfast was just right -- overnight oats, a warm item, fruit, coffee, bagels. The Inn also has little, surprising touches: a pantry for grabbing a snack, loaner backpacks for hikes, yoga mats and blankets to borrow. There are lots of choices in Bar Harbor, but when we come back, we are staying at the Yellow House Inn. Thank you, Sara and team!

Visiting with my retired mom. Sara was kind, informative about the area, and a gracious host. Bedroom was comfy and clean. The wrap around porch was relaxing and just what we needed after a day of exploring the area. Everything was so close to walk to from the property. Pantry available 24/7 and breakfast was great with amazing coffee. I have to say the personal touches really made the yellow house stand out, happy hour in the afternoon, fire pits, and all the places to visit as well as an afternoon water color class. I hope to return on my next trip. Great job Yellow House! We miss the property already!

Simply charming and beautiful B&B in Bar Harbor. We stayed 3 nights in Jack’s room. We were greeted by Kat and given a tour of the inn. Kat and Sara were both friendly, gracious and professional. The Inn itself sits on a quiet street about a block or two off the water. You can park and walk to EVERYTHING! A little happy hour was served every day on the veranda. There are snacks and most helpful a water station available 24/7. The breakfasts were simple but very good offering fruit, a hot entree, and pastry every morning. Along with staples like yogurt and oats. The coffee is from the Hound and was brewed perfectly. The property’s gardens are magnificent and I admired all of it from either the wrap around porch or fire pit in the evenings. There’s an espresso machine available and was a nice pick me up after dinner in town. Jack’s room is on the first floor. We thought it was perfect, spacious and comfortable. It offers a walk out to your own area off the porch which was great for super early morning coffee. I appreciated the soft music in the public rooms, the stocked butler’s pantry, yoga mats and day packs. The hospitality shown by the inn was noteworthy. Overall a perfect stay. Amazing host Sarah. Location ideal. So many accommodations for us tourist. Great breakfast. 24 hours snack pantry. Amazing local coffee. Lovely home with beautiful outside seating and fire pit at night. Cocktail hour and painting was fun.

Beautiful B&B located steps from downtown Bar Harbor and the harbor. Spacious, well-appointed rooms and common spaces. Best of all, the house manager, Kat, was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for your Bar Harbor/MDI vacation.

We enjoyed our stay in Bat Harbor at the Yellow House. It was conveniently located downtown to walk to everything but tucked away on a private street. The staff was most kind and accommodating! We had a great room and lovely breakfast. We enjoyed Acadia while we were there.
