Intended to spend 2 nights. Stayed 5. Very comfortable King room, friendly staff, and convenient location. Only a quick dash to downtown Bangor and it’s excellent restaurants. I hope to stay here again.

I was in the area for the UMaine homecoming weekend. I chose to stay in Bangor to enjoy the restaurants and not pay the high prices of Orono hotels. Check in was fast and easy, the front desk agent was friendly. I requested a high floor and was put on the top floor. The room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and the location was confident to access the University of Maine. I was out for most of the day so I did not get to use the pool or fitness center. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I stay in Marriott’s frequently when traveling and this hotel did not disappoint.

This hotel is fantastic. There is ample parking. Check in was quick and pleasant. The rooms are large with plenty of room to lounge and work. The bathroom is quite large, however it has a old dingy tub shower. There is a mini fridge and microwave. The lobby was vary nice, and the cafe was nice to eat in. Why doesn't starbucks have refills for their $5 cup of coffee? The hotel was happy to give me plenty of coffee for the in-room coffee maker. The fitness room was sparse with cardio and 5 - 50 lbs dumbbells only. I find it odd that they skimped out on the shower and fitness room while everything else was great!

The Marriott Courtyard in Bangor, Maine was an absolutely delightful experience. Not only was this hotel very conveniently located for our vacation agendas, but our room was extremely “livable” – generous size, 2 queen beds, roll-out desk for business, cozy arm chair, DIY laundry room, etc. Also, the variety of hot and cold breakfast options was excellent – from the eggs/bacon/sausage, bagels, French or avocado toast, egg-bacon-cheese burrito, etc. Not to mention the evening lobby Bistro, which served delicious snacks including burgers, chicken wings, quesadillas, salads, etc., along with a great selection of beers, wines and liquors. We absolutely appreciated front desk receptionist Caroline who was always super-friendly and especially helpful with right-on suggestions for local dining options. Also, we want to recognize Bistro server Izzy who consistently did a fantastic job every evening skillfully preparing the hot and cold snacks, gourmet coffees and teas, and serving up a wide variety of wines, beers and liquors – all with a super friendly personality. Finally, thanks to the breakfast tag team of Hayley and Emily, who always greeted us with a friendly smiling Good Morning, and then delivered our delicious breakfasts. Caroline, Izzy, Hayley and Emily are outstanding models of a First Class team of Marriott representatives. We definitely recommend staying at this wonderful hotel.

It all started when we were checking in. They asked for last name only. I swiped my credit card and went to the room. We had checked in online so knew what we were supposed to be in. We went back to the desk. There was another couple with same last name. I had all of their info on my app. No body wash in the room. The ac was falling off the wall Not happy with this visit

Thank you to the Marriott Courtyard Bangor for an exceptional stay. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary and stayed overnight on our drive to Nova Scotia. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We were given a delightful anniversary surprise of chocolates and flowers with a hand written note signed by the staff. A very nice and personal touch! Thank you Courtyard!

Overnight stay while traveling to Halifax, NS Overall, this place met the standards expected when staying at a Courtyard. Friendly efficient check-in, room was quiet and dark. Price for night did seem a bit high for off season and mid-week, but was comparable to other hotels in the area.

Recently stayed at this hotel for one night (Sunday, May 22nd). Facilities were clean, welcoming and very nice. Room were clean, spacious and comfortable.. Service was very disapointing. The lady behind the counter wasnt welcoming at all, seemed grumpy and looked like she hated her job. First thing we asked was for a room with a King bed, she acknowledged our request, said she would look to get us a king. Our room had already been paid prior to arrival, she did however still asked us for our credit card, after a couple minutes, I asked her the reason why she needed the card, she told us it was for the incidentials (out of courtesy, this should have been automatic). Check-in process was done after a few minutes, we left, looking for the elevators, we had no idea where we were going, so I turned around and asked her where the elevators were, which she answered. Out of courtesy, she should have told us where they were. Getting to our room, there were two beds instead of the king that we had specifically resquested. We were happy with the two beds (beds were comfy) but out of courtesy, the employee should have told us that there were no king size beds available. To us, by not telling us we had the two beds instead, it seemed like she just ignored our request. We are big travellers, service to us is everything. In my opinion, a better job could have been done. Courtesy is everything. I still recommend this hotel as I truly don’t believe this enployees poor service was a reflection of the entire hotel’s reputation.

Pros: The staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was large and well-appointed. Everything was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. The supper at the bistro was delicious and convenient. Cons: no complimentary Courtyard breakfast (?!?!?) - I have stayed at Courtyard hotels in mulitple states and have ALWAYS had complimentary breakfast. While the bistro is an excellent option for supper and cocktails, I was surprised and dissapointed about the breakfast. BIGGER CON: the only "complimentary" coffee was the nasty pod-maker type in the room. No lobby coffee. None. We paid $8 to get our REGULAR black coffee.
