Avoid The Ex Capital Hotel – Misleading Advertising & Terrible Service
I wish I could give zero stars. My stay at The Ex Capital Hotel was beyond disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel thrives on false advertising and horrible customer service.
First and foremost, they advertise a swimming pool that DOES NOT EXIST—and it’s not a recent issue. People have been complaining about this for over nine months, yet they continue to mislead guests. This is outright deception, and the hotel refuses to take accountability.
The front desk staff were some of the worst I’ve ever encountered—unprofessional, unhelpful, and completely lacking basic communication skills. Any question or request was met with confusion, dismissiveness, or outright false information. It was frustrating beyond belief.
From start to finish, my experience was a mess of bad communication, poor service, and blatant dishonesty. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will never be staying here again. There are far better options in Bangkok—do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
