My mum and me stayed here on our recent trip as Vince Hotel comes highly recommended by my sister, who is a frequent traveller to Bangkok.
Our room was decidedly spacious – I especially appreciate the wide bathroom, although the shower door tends to creak loudly when closing. The bed is very comfortable and I love that we were able to open the room windows to an extent. There were multiple power sockets but some of them were faulty so I needed to use one on the other side of the room instead.
The area where this hotel truly shines is in its plethora of complimentary services, from free buggy transports and welcome refreshments in the lobby, to massages and photoshoots on selected days. Hospitality was top notch as well, with the friendly staff greeting us with smiles every day. A shoutout to Armmy, who was helpful to us even when she was the lone staff at the concierge seemingly busy with 101 things.
The buggy service was good and convenient, although it was unclear how to hail a ride at the beginning since the ‘buggy counter’ at the hotel was always unmanned. Turns out we just need to wait there awhile and someone would attend to you shortly. I would rather whatsapp message the service instead of call, if given a choice. I also felt that the drop-off locations stated on the given map weren’t that accurate.
There doesn’t seem to be an option to omit breakfast when booking the room, but the breakfast buffet at this hotel ranks among the best I’ve ever eaten. The variety and quality of food here is simply amazing. There is only one caveat, which is that the restaurant is very, very cold. A frosty breakfast awaits you if you don’t bring a jacket down with you in the morning.
I was gonna rate this review 4 stars.. but felt that the positives far outweigh all the negatives during my stay here. Would definitely return here again soon!
