My stay was from Friday to Sunday. When I arrived, a male receptionist checked me in, but he seemed unfriendly. Since I arrived too early, I had to wait until noon for check-in. I decided to go for a walk before check-in, leaving my luggage at the reception. I also requested a lower bunk because I’m older and climbing up and down is inconvenient. When I returned around 3 p.m., I was assigned an upper bunk. I went back to the front desk to ask if I could have a lower bunk, but the male receptionist told me they were fully booked. However, when I checked out, I noticed that the lower bunk next to mine was never occupied. When I asked him for directions to places I wanted to visit, he rarely provided helpful answers and seemed to have a poor attitude. The other staff members were much better, though; only this large male receptionist was unfriendly.
By the weekend, there was a female receptionist, and the service immediately improved. She was friendly and did her best to answer questions for tourists. The cleaning staff was also diligent, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent. However, guests should also keep the facilities clean—like flushing after using the toilet. It would help if the hostel put up some notices about this. The surroundings were beautiful, with birds chirping and a charming entrance with a small coffee shop and plants, creating an attractive atmosphere.
The location was convenient, with a food court nearby frequented by locals, offering affordable prices. There were also plenty of massage shops in the area. Both the BTS and MRT stations were about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it was still a good experience. 👍
