We booked this hotel for birthday celebration and were given a free upgrade from Garden Room to Sea Facing Room (1 level higher but everything else the same) during check-in. The gesture was appreciated but the upgraded room (room no 228) was a mess especially the wifi! Dangling a/c control panel, dirty wall, chipped marble, chipped basin, cracked ceiling panel around toilet light, spoilt temperature control button on hair dryer, chipped toilet window wood panel, dirty cushion on balcony chair, weak wifi and can’t do chromecast! This is worst! We called reception to repair the wifi/chromecast issue since 6.30pm and the technician came and out to take stairs and the waiting took so long and he came back again around 7.30pm. Around 8pm, we couldn’t wait for it anymore and left the room for dinner. We came back around 9+pm and no notes left for us whether the issue was resolved. My husband’s phone can connect to the Chromecast then but the signal was so so weak. Keep disconnecting from wifi plus the mobile line was also very bad. We didn’t bother to ask again cause it’s a waste of our time. Breakfast spread was good the next morning. But our room cards couldn’t access the room after breakfast, my husband got to walk all the way to reception to change and walked back but it can’t work again! Oh gosh! The staff came with him the second time to reset the door access using master key. We were very angry because for the price we paid for this room, the service was so bad and really not worth the price at all!
