Ice House Hotel

I had a fantastic birthday stay and was wonderfully taken care of by Rachel and Rowen in the restaurant—they were both so lovely! The service at the spa was excellent, thanks to Katrina, and Ashling made sure we were well looked after. Matthew at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Will be back!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We had a resort in Thailand planned but our friends were getting married the week after our wedding in Clare. We stayed here instead...oh my God it's amazing! They gave us a complimentary romantic turndown with rose petals and during our evening meal surprised us with congratulations written on the dessert plate. The food is impeccable in both the restaurant and the bar! Food: Restaurant: We had goats cheese roulade and brie starter. We had steak and duck main. Pecan pie and berry crumble for dessert. 10/10 Bar: We had chilli prawn tacos (oh my this is amazing and must try) and the wild mushroom linguine (again an absolute must try! In fact, just copy our order and trust you'll be delighted. Atmosphere: Everything about this place is super romantic. The vibe is chill, the staff let you relax but are attentive to anything you need. Again it's 5 star from a guest perspective, currently they're on 4 stars and they really deserve that 5 star title. Spa: Unfortunately the spa treatments weren't available during our stay, so we booked the mud baths, this was very relaxing, baths overlook the river and it's picturesque. It rained a little but nothing could put a dampen on our spa day. The hot tubs overlooking the river are also incredible. Access to hot tub and thermal suites are complimentary with the stay. The mud baths are €80-100 each, but for an occasion worth a try! Thank you so much to everyone here for making us feel special and topping our honeymoon expectations! We decided you'll be out anniversary dinner location from now on, seeing as Darver castle where we married was only a wedding venue and doesn't offer hotel or restaurant experiences. 10/10 recommend. Lovely boutique hotel views from bedroom beautiful all very different depending on the time of day or night. Staff helpful polite & friendly. Restaurant food top class for breakfast lunch & dinner.Would defiantly recommend & we will be back.

If rest and relaxation is your quest, the Ice House Hotel is the place for you. The location beside the River Moy, so serene, ensured we were in a relaxed state of mind from the beginning of our stay. Bright, spacious rooms overlooking the river created an ambiance for deep relaxation. The added bonus of sliding doors, letting in the sound of nature and fresh air ensured a better night's sleep. Staff in all departments were efficient, knowledgeable about their products and services as well as being extremely courteous. Careful thought has been given to the design and decor of the hotel. The meals in the restaurant were sublime. A wide range of dishes to choose from using the freshest of ingredients and cooked to perfection. Breakfast was a big hit as well. I will definitely be making a return visit to this gem of a hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I went with my sister to celebrate my birthday . I informed them of my special day and they prepared a little surprise for me. overall the hotel was clean. the spa treatment i had was so relaxing. the restaurant serve good meals. I had an exquisite fish meal. I will be visiting again and might make it a tradition to celebrate my birthday there.

I had the most amazing experience, what a beautiful place & the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Even the room was beautiful. I love high quality accommodations this house is definitely that. Planning my return after my wedding. I would highly recommend this hotel.
