Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages

Ballingup Heights is definitely one of the best places we've ever stayed. The scenery, accommodation and the service were all fantastic. We would heartily recommend staying here to anyone looking to stay in the area, or anyone that wants somewhere to stay that is serene and relatively isolated.

Wonderful experience staying at Deb and Brians place. Would suit families as well as couples looking for a quiet getaway as the cottages are spaced out. Magical views from the big window in our room.

This special place is a family favourite! Our two (10 and 8 years) counted down for months to return to ‘the cabins on the hilltop’. Our second visit was just as amazing as the first. The cottage is so perfectly located and equiped. It made the evenings in so cozy and relaxing. Our two just love the early morning adventure out and views, and of course the animal feeding. Deb and Brian are amazing hosts; friendly, welcoming and happy to help in any way. A great place to escape and refocus!

This was, I think, our 5th or 6th visit at least going back some 15-20 years. Deb and Brian have run this place for most of those visits and make you feel like old friends when you arrive. The cabins are consistently clean and well looked after and super cosy. The views are magnificent and the surrounding forest is peaceful and beautiful. The kids adore the animal feeding even after a number of visits! its very much the morning ritual if you wish it to be. If not, let them go on their own and chill at the chalet in peace! The place is safe for them to roam (at a certain age) and the hosts look after them during feeding. They might even come back with and egg for brekky. There really is nothing not to like. I have recommended this stay to many friends and all of them fell in love with it. Thanks again BH

My husband and I stayed in the Kimbas cottage for 2 nights at the end of June. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. We really loved snuggling up next to the wood fire and looking out at the beautiful landscape. The view from the lookout was absolutely spectacular - especially at sunrise. The lighting, mist and clarity in the mornings was truly magical! Brian and Deb, the owners, were very accomodating and friendly, and always made us feel very welcome. My husband and I definitely recommend staying at Balingup Heights - we will be back again!

We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. The cottages were perfect for a family of 4 (and can accommodate an extra child easily too). They were kitted out with everything we needed. There is only a few cottages on the property and they were all a nice distance away from each other, so you mostly felt you had the place to yourself. And what a view!!! It was wet and cold during our stay, and the cottage was easy to warm up either with the fire or the reverse cycle AC. The kids (7yo and 9yo) played endlessly outside, rain or shine, and loved the animal feeding every morning. They also had a ball picking persimmons and chestnuts (and eating them both too)! Balingup itself is a great little town, and you're not far away from many day trips. Lastly, Brian and Deb were amazing hosts.
