We booked a villa for 2 days with breakfast and went to see Ubud. We arrived in the evening hoping for calm night of sleep but were left with 1000+ ants (not even exaggerating). I know that Bali is tropical area but still it’s responsibility of the hotel to provide clean and hygiene conditions.
First night we barely slept since ants would constantly wake us up. Next day we tried to cancel booking but were refused by owner and trip.com
Their main problem is that they kill ants with some kinda chemistry products instead of finding their house which, feels like, right in front of that villa.
Next day we changed villa for standard room (without any compensation, because “money already went away by website”), they tried to compensate room with mediocre 6$ US dinner. Standard room was actually Bette for sleeping but still a few ants are present.
Stuff is really nice though. We don’t blame them but blame the situation. I’m very sorry that they have to deal with these problems and owner just has to say “sorry, no refund, I don’t really care about you”.
I’m sure this situation will be repeated many times, so just avoid this place, don’t make mistake.
