Booked a Holiday for June of this year 2025( through Loveholidays) and when I arrived at the destination Club Hotel Cormorano, Baja Sardinia, Italy,I became a little concerned as the building on first appearance looked a little worse for wear and nothing like the crisp clean photos that we had viewed online. In my mind I thought maybe a little paint would sort that. Once we entered into the reception area to book in we were told by a lady at reception that there was no room available! No apology, no explanation just that there was no room available. Obviously we thought they were joking or there was a simple mistake, but they weren't! We told them that this was all booked for and paid for in advance and even though they knew that it made no difference. The Receptionist just kept saying I understand but there is no room available .No apology, no explanation just that there was no room. We asked to speak to the Manager who was not prepared to meet us at first ,but eventually had to because we saw him hiding out of sight and Coaching the Receptionist. He then lied to us and claimed he wasn't the manager, then told us that we could protest all we liked, but there would be no room available and that we would have to take alternative accomodation in a hotel in Puerto Cervo which is in a remote location and needed transport to get to and from anywhere .The reason we chose Hotel Cormorano was precisely because if its location and proximity to beaches and restaurants and of course the reviews which I would now question. The Manager claimed that someone higher up made the decision that there would be no room available despite the fact that we had paid in advance. There was no explanation, no empathy, no consideration for the fact that we had travelled from Ireland in full expectation that all was well and looking forward to our holiday which was a gift to my wife for her 60th birthday. We were baffled by the lack of consideration and explanation and zero empathy for a problem that was not of our making. This was something so out of the blue and without any rational explanation and something that I have never experienced in all my years travelling. So unfortunately I cannot give a more detailed view of the premises and facilities other than the fact that the Reception area also looked worn and in need of a good cleaning. The way we were treated here remains a mystery! The fact that a Manager could behave this way is an even greater one!
