Borgo I Vicelli - Adults Only Relais -

Very beautiful villa just 20min from Firenze. Helpful and very friendly staff. The pool area and the restaurant was top notch, the perfect place before going into Firenze, or perfect chill area when coming back from a full day in the surroundings.

Borgo I Vicelli is a little jewel in the Tuscan hills above Bagno A Ripoli. Once in the property the location is lovely. The accommodations are authentically rustic and immaculately clean. The welcome and service from the staff is 1st Class and the restaurant is a must try. Tuscany with a twist! Try dining as the sunsets and you will be “Under a Tuscan Sun !”

We have just had our wedding at the Borgo I Vicelli. After 2,5 years of delays, which the hotel happily obliged, they just delivered the most exceptional wedding we could have wished for. This beautiful, family run hotel, were helpful, kind, organized and wonderful to work with. Mathilde, Giulia and Ilaria, you and the team are absolutely exceptional. We took over the hotel for 3 nights, a pizza party, a wedding and a BBQ. Words cannot describe just how perfect our wedding was, from start to finish, you’re the best! The hotel is in a stunning location, all recently renovated, with an amazing pool, and lovely restaurant. It’s the perfect hotel for a wedding, a couples holiday or a family holiday. We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2022, during a heatwave in Italy. We were fortunate to get a ground floor room, which was cool during the day, with only minimum air conditioning required. The room was large, well appointed albeit a little dark, with three sets of small windows only. Everything in the room was fine, except for the shower, where the water would not run off properly. There was a nice pool area with sufficient shade and seating provided, although during 38+ degrees temperatures even this area was too warm for many. The speakers placed around the pool area were on all day until late evening, and the likely reason for these is the motorway that runs through the valley below the property and that could otherwise be heard. There were otherwise no noise issues and we did not hear that road from our room at night. The breakfast was served in the outdoor part of the restaurant, with plenty of choice, in a very nice setting. The access to the hotel is via a dusty trqvk for the last 200 meters. There should be some shade provided for the cars; it showed 70 degrees in out car one afternoon. - Some bamboo-covered car shelters should be permitted, even with the strict building regulations ? Staff at reception in particular were very helpful and assisted us with a few requests efficiently and instantly.

Borgo i Vicelli will stay in my memory forever, especially as I proposed to the love of my life here. It was our first time in Tuscany and when we were thinking about how it will be, we could not wish for a better place to start or Tuscan journey (YES, we will be back! :)) Everything about this place is absolutely amazing. The narrow way that leads to the resort is beautiful. The area around the resort is astonishing, location is simply gorgeous - in the middle of Tuscan hills and olive trees. Our room was perfect, as one would imagine a room in a beautiful Tuscan resort. Breakfast is delicious and served with genuine hospitality. Staff - ladies at the reception are simply great. Francesca and the rest of the team helped me prepare the most beautiful surprise for my wife to be. Dinner at the restaurant was one of the best meals we had lately. There really are no objections or advice for a room for improvement. This place is a must-visit and they will make your time in Tuscany memorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :) Marko
