Naturhotel Ortners Eschenhof

Let me preface by saying this is our 10th+ time coming to BK, having stayed at die post, pulverer, trichers, etc. This hotel ruined a very special place for us. This is the worst value of money in town. Upon arrival we were not given set-up keys that work. The room quite literally doesn’t have any amenities in it. No coffee maker, necessity kits, disposable slippers, luggage stand… nothing. The front desk charges you 5 euros for disposable paper slippers, in a spa resort you are paying over 400 euros a night for. It is not about money it is about principle. The price for half board is 70 euros per person per day, with some of the most unseasoned flavorless food ever seen. The breakfast buffet resembled something you would see at a bad 3 star hotel, with a couple mediocre deli meats, a few cereals, and a mid omlette station. Every night we sat down for dinner we were hoping for a miracle, as the meat always tasted like cardboard. Beef stew was very chewy and the veal was perhaps the veal’s mother instead. Fun fact: if you have a sip of the tap water put on your table, you will get a 2 euro utility bill for it in the morning. TAP WATER. The saunas are nice, but only after 3pm. So if you have members in your party that don’t ski like my dad they might as well stay home instead. The front desk told us the check out starts at 10am, so we rushed to pay the evening before. Of course, this wasn’t the case but a front desk didn’t speak german, while others don’t speak english. Internet constantly disconnects so there is really no point of having it. If you aren’t from the EU, prepare to pay for a data plan. All of this could have been mediated with good management and hospitality. The reason I am writing this review is the hostile and violent manager, Paus? I am not sure if that is her name because she came out did not state her name or position and asked “what seems to be the problem?” I was the most polite ever. She proceeded to talk back to me about every point I made with a nasty attitude. “We don’t have phones in the rooms because it’s the 21st century everyone has cellphones.” Half of your guests are foreigners and the elderly, how big of a phone bill should you invest in? “You can just come down here its no big deal” at a front desk where 6 different ladies work between an 8 hour worktime period. When I asked her why the tv is facing the balcony, she told me i can just rearrange the room, cause I came on vacation to be an interior designer. My dad came in as she was schooling me, a guest, and was on the phone with my mom. I ended the conversation as I realized I was dealing with a very inhospitable lady. We went into the ski room and she started chasing after my elderly dad “DID YOU FILM ME, MY COLLEAGUE SAW YOU FILMING” became hostile and crazy and took my father’s phone to go through it. I urge the owners to go through the surveillance footage on 14.02. in the morning hours. She insulted my dad and became violent toward an elderly man. She c

Originally Austrian Hotel and everything so nice. Great welcome on arrival (for us and also for our dog). Nice and big room, with a terrace and garden area, so good for the dog! The outdoor heated pool is amazing. I love it The food also was great! Oh ya... Our dog also loves Bella, a nice dog from Hotel. Recommended!

3rd time at this hotel but sadly our last. Hotel and facilities are great, reception staff are very friendly and fun however we were really let down by the dining experience which used to be amazing.... To start with we were given the wine list, less than 1 minute later we were asked our selection so we explained we needed time to look at the menu, just 1 minute later the waiter asked again - in the end we were served a totally incorrect bottle of wine. This was followed by being served a main course before we had even been given our starters and the evening just continued from that point a little bit like a comedy sketch....... the staff are friendly but clearly very inexperienced, hopefully this will change with time. However the real complaint was the uninspiring food. The soup was absolutely tasteless - no salt or seasoning at all and the main course was really awful, it was bland, unimaginative and very boring. I actually left my meal and went to fill up at the salad bar but at 8 pm this had all been cleared away so I ended up eating the 2 pieces of unsalted broccoli, gave the potato to my husband and hid the tasteless meat underneath my napkin! The cook really needs to taste and season the food before it is sent out to the customers. Sorry but it was awful and very boring! After dinner at 20:30 we went to find someone from the hotel to speak to about the meal but there wasn't a single person available - the bar and reception were totally empty of both staff and guests and the management were nowhere to be seen, eventually we gave up and went to bed. Please please please employ your old cook as the food used to be amazing and my last review of your hotel was 5 stars

Albergo accogliente, zona wellness molto bella, cibo ottimo. Struttura in prossimità degli impianti di risalita facilemente raggiungibili a piedi. Personale gentile e professionale. Se devo trovare una pecca, manca solo una zona fitness.

Vorab möchte ich anmerken, dass es für uns sehr wichtig war ein Wellnesshotel zu finden, welches auch gleichzeitig hundefreundlich ist und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes - Hund willkommen und nicht nur geduldet. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Terrasse und direktem Ausgang zur Hundewiese. Unser Hund durfte mit in den eigens dafür vorgesehenen Speiseraum und wurde überall herzlich begrüßt und auch bei den Mitarbeitern war nur ein herzlicher Umgang mit unserem Vierbeiner zu bemerken. Es gab bei den Mitarbeitern keine einzige Bitte oder kein einziger Wunsch, der nicht umgehend erfüllt wurde. Freundlichkeit ist in diesem Haus wirklich groß geschrieben. Der Wellnessbereich ist übersichtlich aber für uns war er ausreichend. Das Essen war gut und das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen. Also ein rundum empfehlenswertes Hotel für Paare, die auch ihren Vierbeiner gut behandelt wissen wollen. Danke an das gesamte Team!

Wir kommen seit 20 Jahren regelmässig zu Ortners Eschenhof und freuen uns auf viele Jahre mehr. Unsere Kinder sind mittlerweile erwachsen, und wenn wir fragen, wo wir denn dieses Jahr Urlaub machen sollen, ist die Antwort immer wieder die gleiche: im Eschenhof natürlich! Der Eschenhof hat Herz, Charme, ist immer vorne dran mit Wellness und mittlerweile sogar therapeutischen Anwendungen. Besitzer Gerhard und Hildegart Ortner und deren Soehne Max und Martin sind immer gegenwärtig und verleihen dem professionellen Betrieb einen höchstpersönlichen Touch. Das Angebot rundherum ist fantastisch - vom MountainBike Flow Trail zu Klettern, Segeln, Surfen, und natürlich tolles Wandern - sanft über die Nockberge oder hoch hinaus in die nahegelegenen Dolomiten. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Jahr!
