Horwood House Hotel

Very lovely welcome and flexible allowing slightly earlier book in to enable us to get ready for a wedding. Room clean and breakfast was great.

I really like the place, very peaceful. The cleaners promised us to clean our room but they didn’t which was disappointing but overall I was happy.

Travelled for a show stayed two nights. Room was clean and comfortable has usual iron hairdryer tea coffee. Had a fantastic dinner in Harrys bar would highly recomend eating here food was delicious. Spa was great. All round a great stay the room was a tad cold when we arrived but heating was on all night. Id prefered it to be warm when i got there.and heating 9ff during the nighy but only a personal choice. This is my second stay Id certainly stay again worth the money.

Stayed here whilst visiting Bletchley Park. Beautiful location, setting, grounds and hotel. Lovely room (262) great bed, roomy lounge area and lovely bathroom - clincher beautiful views. Had late afternoon drink in the garden on back of the main house. Good service. Very nice dinner - tasty, very well presented. Plenty of choice - hats off to waiting staff and chef. Breakfast in a different room. Very spacious and buffet style - hot and plenty of choice. Big car park close to reception with EV chargers. Highly recommend.

We spent a couple of nights here because of its convenience for places we wanted to visit around Bletchley and Milton Keynes. What was noticeable from the moment we arrived was the positive attitude of the staff; without exception they were friendly and efficient, and seemed to enjoy their work. The room was fine, clean and with an enormous bed and my only comment here would be that the pillows could do with being replaced. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and standard of the food in Harry's Bar - not cheap but comparable value with other recent meals out. We would definitely return here if we are in the area, mainly because we were made to feel so welcome.

Great Stay We had a lovely stay here with our dog . Staff were great - friendly and helpful . Grounds are really lovely and we enjoyed a few walks around them with the dog .We were pleased that he could also come to breakfast with us . If you are not a dog lover it’s ok as they are not allowed to all the restaurants and bars ! Dinner on the Saturday night ,was very good A large range of dishes and generous portions . Again staff were so helpful and accommodating . Also thanks to the reception staff and to Don in accounts who helped to resolve my query over the deposit for our room . We will definitely return to this hotel. Well done Horwood House .

Our arrival at the hotel was met with high expectations, as the property itself is truly stunning. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were welcoming and attentive, providing all the necessary information. However, upon reaching our room, the experience unfortunately shifted. The room was extremely small, as was the bathroom, and while the bed was comfortable, it was surprisingly minute. The spa facilities were also underwhelming for the number of guests. While the pool was adequate, it was overcrowded, and the steam room and spa were far too small, accommodating only six people at a time. We observed several guests opening the door to the steam room only to leave disappointed due to lack of space. Additionally, the mixed changing area lacked sufficient rooms, which led to long waits. I ended up using a toilet cubicle to change because the wait was too long and I was starting to feel cold. Regrettably, I would not stay at this hotel again. My recommendation would be to explore alternative accommodation.

We had a very enjoyable one night stay. The property and grounds are stunning. The reception staff were friendly, efficient, and very welcoming upon check-in. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and modern with great amenities. The bed was super comfy. The Spa facilities are fabulous, with a nice size pool and clean facilities, which we made the most of before dinner and again the next morning, before checking out. We didn't make a reservation for dinner, which didn't phase the restaurant manager ( think Sylvia was her name ). We were happy enjoying our free drink ( courtesy of the drink voucher you get for booking direct ) at the bar, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The atmosphere was great, with all staff being efficient and friendly. A special mention to Milly, who looked after us. She was observant, friendly, and chatty, making us feel even more relaxed. The food was outstanding. Tasty, hot, with good-size portions. The only letdown and the reason for not giving full marks for this review was the breakfast. Nice attempts to present the hot breakfast foods attractively. However, the buffet area has clearly been designed to look pretty rather than achieve its function. The hot lamps don't line up with the hot counter and, therefore, are not over the food. The food temperature was not good and left us with our final experience of the hotel as less than positive. Thankfully, with the great dinner the prior night, we knew this was not indicative of the other areas of the hotel. Had we only experienced breakfast, it would have deterred us from having dinner at the hotel. We also felt, with the coffee machine so close to the blazing hot roller toaster, uncomfortable and clustered with other guests in the most congested areas. Maybe the two areas people use the most at breakfast - coffee and toast - should be separated for ease of use? And with only cold plates available, it didn't improve the breakfast. Having said that, we would definitely stay again, probably giving breakfast a miss.

Stayed for two nights through work. Very remote location, long and dark winding roads to get to hotel! Very nice decor throughout. Bed slightly small length wise, bathroom needed a deep clean and a few cobwebs in the room! Harry's Restaurant is out of this world! The menu is limited for obvious reasons but the quality of the food is off the chart! Opted for the burger on night one and fish and chips on night two. Can quite comfortably say the best fish and chips I've ever had! Would try and visit again and make use of the facilities more if time allowed.
