Nissiana Hotel & Bungalows

The room wasn’t clean enough . The service at the pool area was too slow . The stuff was polite and friendly but they could have more people in every shift .

Booked Nissiana Hotel via online and arrived to find it overbooked despite a confirmed, non-refundable reservation. The staff showed no empathy, blaming online channel, and offered no help. We were wet, exhausted, and unfamiliar with the area, yet the manager was equally dismissive, suggesting we find another hotel, which was impossible as everything nearby was booked. Our phones were drained, leaving us unable to search for alternatives. With no other options, we had to sleep on public sunbeds at the beach, still wet and extremely uncomfortable. This experience was distressing and unacceptable for a confirmed booking. The lack of support from both the hotel and online booking channel was shocking and has seriously made us question the reliability of this service. Avoid this hotel and be cautious when using online booking channel—you might end up stranded with no help or accountability.

Stayed in the bungalows Aug 24, great size accommodation for a family of 4. There was a large double room upstairs with good cupboard space and two single beds down stairs with a kitchenette. The bathroom up the first flight of 5 steps, then another 8 steps to double room. Kids single beds were pretty hard and bathroom was dated & smelt bad when re arrived but the smell did clear after a few days. Maid came every afternoon and replaced towels and cleaned. We were across a busy road from the main hotel which was a little tricky going back and forth with the traffic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very nice, a good selection like most all inclusives. Pool was wonderful, large and warm and a good depth for little and big kids. Lots of sunloungers and umbrellas. Plenty of seating for dinner and evening entertainment. We enjoyed our 11 nights, thank you.

I booked a non-refundable stay at Nissiana Hotel, Ayia Napa through online channel last 16 August. Upon arrival, I was shocked to be told the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t honor my confirmed reservation. The receptionist blamed a system error and offered no help, saying it wasn’t their fault. We were exhausted, wet from the beach, and unfamiliar with the area, yet no assistance was provided. The manager repeated the same dismissive response and suggested we find another hotel, which was impossible as everything nearby was fully booked. To make matters worse, our phones were drained, leaving us unable to seek alternatives or contact anyone. With no options left, we had to spend the night sleeping on public sunbeds at the beach with our luggage, still wet and extremely uncomfortable.

Just come back from an 11 night stay here in August. We booked half board and stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow which are situated across a road from main complex. Room was clean and kept clean each day, aircon was freezing which was a life saver. Road outside is noisy especially with motorcycles at nighttime. Pool was good very warm but they also have an indoor pool which was freezing so good to cool down with. Loads of sun loungers with no need to rush. Food is basic but acceptable. We hired a car for 7 days and hotel has plenty of parking. All in all a good visit and hotel is situated well for exploring.

I feel obliged to write this review as someone who stalked reviews before we went away , you spend forever saving for holidays wanted to ensure it was right for us. So.. We booked this hotel when it was advertised as a 4 Star , we received an email from our holiday provider to state that it had changed to a 3. If we wanted to change our accommodation we could , without and admin fee. I looked for other hotels and the difference was nearly £1100.00 our holiday was already paid and we really toyed with the idea of changing. However the financial part of it just didn't seem worth it. We stuck with our choice and headed to our holiday of 10days. Family of 3 - Daughter is 9. We arrived at the hotel , nice man on desk very informative and was handed our key. A KEY with a massive key ring , which I have never had before. We had a family room , we didn't have an updated one unfortunately. Bathroom was very small not much room to put your toiletries. Beds were big and comfy , balcony mid size. We were on the main road & I am a light sleeper so struggled with the traffic noise for a few nights. Bedsheets weren't the cleanest there were stains. We had ants one evening called to reception and we had someone come to our room an sort it within minutes but still not really what you want on holiday. Air con was great kept room freezing which is what we needed as it was SOOO HOT! Cleaners didn't really clean your room , bed was made and floor was moped we came back numerous times to soaking wet floor which we had to use towels to dry it as it was soaking! Food- We woke up next morning headed to breakfast , nice food nice selection not massive which is what I am used to on all inclusive but that had what any brit abroad needed. Cups of tea were lush! Lunch - Snack bar was really good selection of food , it closes just before dinner and lunch starts so you have to get there in time to get something but food was nice. Dinner hall food was a good selection of things over the 10 days. For kids there was 2 trays one with nuggets other with chips that was it. There are themed evenings , we ate out 2 nights as there was nothing my daughter would have eaten. So many lovely bars and restaurants walking distance to the hotel. The evening food Asian night was my fave and we really enjoyed that. Desserts for kids , there's ice cream that's it. 2 different cake option for adults not much else. Pool - Was like getting in a bath needed a cool down from the heat but didn't get one lol Area was always clean lifeguard was always out and around watching and talking to people to keep them safe which was nice too see. Beds easy to get in the morning , as a brit i always went down early with towels because its in my blood :) Hotel staff were amazing , always had a smile and a good morning really lovely people. Stayed in the Bungalows which are across the road from the hotel. Very spacious and clean. House keeping daily, plenty of shampoo etc. Breakfast was great, good selection of Continental and English food. Only did B&B as this was a short stay for us. Poolside bar great prices for the 'Tom Collins' Cocktail! Absolutely will return and will recommend to others.

Bad points: Room needs updating, the hair dryer resembled a hoover, bendy horse with a thin head. Recommend you take your own. We requested a walk in shower as my wife had a foot operation, ended up with a bath with a shower inside, so my wife had to climb in and out the bath. The entry key and also used to use the electricity was a thick steel fob which i remember using 30 years ago, you could get £10 off a scrap dealer for it as it's so heavy. The tea/coffee trays were never topped up and this is the best, they don't supply milk as they is to hot, but you can by the the little pods in the supermarket. The food is the worst I have ever experienced. The selection is poor, i think 8 hot trays and 3 Trays of desserts and salad is tomatoes, cucumber and mixed leaves , meals are repeated. Children's meals chips chicken nuggets and fish fingers for lunch and tea every day!! Eventually we ate out to have a decent meal. The bar staff need a lesson in being happy. What a miserable bunch. I asked for a Baileys he could not pour it out of the nozzle, he poured it into the glass and a big dollop of curdled cream dropped in the glass and he wanted me to drink that, I asked for an orange juice topped with lemonade, I had a glass of orange juice and a glass of lemonade. I give up!!!! There is no security at the Hotel so you have to put up with e noise as we did , we were on a floor with a group of boys who were coming home from Ayia Napa town at 3.30 or later every night. Good points : Pool is nice and always managed to get a sunlounger. The pool is supposed to open at 10.00 but people just ignored that and put towels down early. Taxis are 10-12 Euros to Ayia Napa, by bus it is 1 euro 50 cent, bus stop by Nissi Beach, it is a 45 minute walk to Ayia Napa. Tommy's Bar is worth visiting. 5 Euros a pint and Kareoke every night starts at 9.30
