The Meetings B&B

Fabulous location with balconies off the bedrooms overlooking the river. Room was spacious and well equipped, with good ensuite. There is a very cosy bar and a small shop - no restaurant, but deliveroo was a good alternative, and there was a shared kitchen area (with washing machine!!) off the first floor corridor. Staff were lovely, very friendly and obliging, really enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the river, and the bar had a great atmosphere.

Tired, tired, tired. Very run down, no care given to this hotel. Does not appeal to the eye on arriving at all. Very basic.

Room was very warm so we needed to keep window open and our room was directly on the street.

Location is beautiful however the building has been neglected. Could do with care and attention. Bedrooms were adequate with fresh linen however bathroom was only surface clean. Very noisy even with ear plugs with thin bedroom walls. Breakfast offered a small selection of continental and 3 hot options. Was cafe ok. Dining room had awesome view but needed a good tidying and upgrade. The hostess dressed inappropriately at breakfast with what looked like a black slip dress a teenager would go clubbing in. Overall ok stay but would rather stay at Woodbridge Hotel and pay the extra. Their food was amazing at dinner.

Not one to write reviews but I felt it necessary as some of those on here were quite poor. Found this to be a lovely and charming place to stay. View from the room was fabulous, with even better sound effects from the river! There is a lovely deck area with comfortable chairs and loungers to enjoy the view and the sound of the rivers flowing. There is no food available on site, but the bar is nice for a pre or post dinner drink and there are restaurants 10 minutes drive in either direction. The staff were lovely, a warm and friendly family of hosts. The breakfast was plentiful with meats, cheeses, yoghurts and cooked options. Great price for a relaxing night in the country. It's not 5 star but it's never claimed to be, a good value, clean and pleasant place to stay. We will be back.

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, stayed here for one night, its location alone is worth the stay. The room which I stayed was facing the river, amazing sound and view, room is basic but reflects the price, they have playstation for kids equipped kitchen facilities plus breakfast was excellent, its 10 minutes drive either direction for restaurants as they dont do food anymore. Family run staff I found very nice and helpful. All id say is make up your own mind.
