Homewood Suites by Hilton Augusta Gordon Highway

After 2 visits to this property I am highly impressed with the cleanliness, timely, and friendliness of the property and staff, yet especially impressed with the breakfast spread. The food tastes exceptionally well and full of flavor; the carnitas, the BBQ pulled meat, Oatmeal, Grits, EVERYTHING!!! I had to ask who’s the chef and the lovely lady Ms. April was the mastermind behind the dish’s… Now I’m not a morning person, but thank GOD they offer Breakfast til 10am, because I then made sure I was up to enjoy breakfast every morning… So thank you to the AGM Ms. Tabitha for being present on the property and being seen engaging with the guests and staff, helping me with my business fax and for employing a great chef & awesome person Ms. April… (My review comes from being a former Marriott Mgr, so I know EXCELLENCE and true [old fashion] Customer Service when I see it) I will 100% be back business or personal… ~Blessings, Jacqueline

I spend a lot of nights at this motel. Tabitha and Brittany treat me like I am family. Ms. April always greets me with a smile at breakfast and she makes sure I have what I need. Mo one of the housekeeping supervisors is outstanding. She makes sure my room is clean no matter what shift I am working. Mo is a true asset to the Homewood Suites she is always positive and happy to make sure my stay is great.

Great Hotel! Great staff all around. Very welcoming and helpful with absolutely everything. One host stuck out the most during my brief stay and that was Alex. She was the friendliest and most helpful Ive probably ever experienced at a hotel. Because of her and staff just like her, I will for sure be back again. Thanks Homewood!

The hotel was clean and quiet, so I was impressed with the management of the property. I must give the hotel a low review because the water for the shower was cold. I told the front desk and they gave me another room which also had lukewarm water. Then they fessed up that the maintenance worker was not there to fix it. So they rented rooms knowing the water was lukewarm. After a long day of walking and exploring, I could not take a warm shower. I will not be returning.

Tish & JD are like family members, that’s how they made me feel! Their hospitality & that of all the staff I encountered in general from the cleaning staff to janitors have all been exceptional. Coupled with the full kitchen & workspace set up, I literally felt at home away from home!

We were greeted with friendly front door staff evertime we entered the hotel. The front reception/sitting area is rather large and the fire place was on making for a warm reception on this chilly evening. The room itself is very nice, the kitchen has two burners, a microwave, a full fridge and dishes for a family of four as well as pots and pan. There is a desk area with space to spread out and a lamp. The sofa is a hotel sofa, so stiff and not too comfy but clean. The large TV is in between the sofa and bed so it could be seen from either but would need to be turned. A turntable for the TV would be a nice addition. The shower was clean with glass sliding doors and shower gel/conditioner and shampoo available. The water was very hot! It was a really nice shower. The bed was comfortable, pillows are a tad too soft for me, but there are two so you can pile them up. The room AC is adjustable and definitely heated and cooled well. The room was vacuumed and appeared clean, but was dusty behind the TV (we had to pull it out as the cable was misbehaving) and the bottom of the lamps/baseboards are dusty. The free breakfast was nice! Sometimes the hotel breaksfasts are meager. This was not. First day was biscuits, gravy, sausage, pre made omelets (slightly rubbery), oatmeal with fruit, brown sugar and nuts, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs, OJ, coffee, milk and tea. Second day was grits instead of oatmeal and potatoes instead of biscuits. The ladies in the breakfast area are soo sweet. One of them told me today that they take care of their customers and this is the best Homewood suites, she just wishes she could stay here :). apparently you can't stay if you work here. They were So kind and attentive. If we ever ran into staff they smiled and were kind. My husband said to me "they must have good management to have staff who appear happy". In the eating area: The seats were clean, available and no crumbs etc on the tables. Outside the parking lot is well lit, but some of the parking lot is a dirt lot which was not as nice. Overall I am very grateful to have found this hotel. GREAT stay. It was too cold to even think about the hotel pool...so I don't know and did not visit the gym. I did notice that there were construction workers staying here, and using the grill out back two evenings we were here. I thought that was great that they had that as an option. It says something that people are staying here for long term stays. I saw a travel nurse here as well. You can't go wrong staying here! I saw one of the negative reviews, she was NOT reviewing this hotel. She must have picked the wrong one to review by accident. This is a nice hotel!
