Middleton House Bed and Breakfast

This is such a lovely B&B! Beautiful room with some thoughtful touches, very comfortable bed and good quality bathroom. Breakfast was great with lots of options and the host was very kind and welcoming. Good location for exploring this part of Scotland. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Our journey in May 2022 took us to Scotland and what a delight to have found Middleton House B & B in Blackford! If you are looking for a charming B&B with an outstanding host who truly cares about her guests, look no further and book it today. The room was spacious and spotless (I mean really spotless!), the bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was a bit cold outside our first night and being from a hot climate we asked for the heat to be on and quickly found our room toasty warm! I particularly enjoyed the adorable glass bottles of water and milk in the fridge each day along with a wee treat of cookies. But let's talk about breakfast. We love breakfast, and we especially love the breakfast in the UK. Cate gives you choices the night before to let her know what you prefer which was very nice since we hate to be wasteful. Everything was delicious and if you left the table hungry then that would be on you. As wonderful as the food was, we loved the room overlooking the garden as a peaceful and beautiful start of what we knew would be a busy day. Cate also provided suggestions for places for dinner which were terrific. We'd recommend Henderson's Bistro to anyone! Totally superb overnight stay in an immaculate Georgian house, run by the very welcoming Kate Cope. The bedroom and the perfect en-suite shower are bright and very comfortable. Absolutely everything you might need has been thought of and provided. A huge, delicious breakfast with lots of choices, too. I would not hesitate to recommend Middleton House - it's very easy to find, just a couple of minutes off the A9 and Kate let us park in her driveway, even though we were blocking her own car in! If only some of the other B&B's I've stayed at in Scotland were this well-run and welcoming..
