The Vault Athens

Perfectly Reasonable While I arrived really late, I rang the bell, which went to a phone call, and the door opened. My key was on the desk. The room is decent size, pretty bare, but also quiet. The bed was comfortable, the shower is large. it is an efficient hotel with excellent staff. I was exhausted, and received at least two free extension for check out. The location is great for the acropolis and all the museums. The special price online was very reasonable and I will recommend it again and will stay there myself if need be.

The hotel is really central, very well located. The main attractions and neighbourhoods were all very close and within walking distance, perfect for those who like to walk around the city. The manager and staff were always very friendly, welcoming and warm, especially the cleaning lady. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, coffee machine, safe and a big TV and the A/C was great to cope with the heat. The bed was very roomy and the room was always clean. The view of the inner courtyard wasn't very pleasant, so if we ever came back we would definitely get another room with a nicer view. Breakfast was served in the room as advertised, very simple but with some options, more than enough to start the day. Maybe a little more variety could be nice, especially the bread. Although we expected a little more from a 4-star hotel, and while there were a few minor incidents during our stay (a stain in the sheets, some confusion with the breakfast order, a cockroach in the hallway), everything was dealt with promptly and the overall experience was positive.

I was very excited for my first trip to Greece and after having coming back from Paros and spending our last few days in Athens I was recommended this hotel from a friend. The location of the hotel is great and the price was fantastic. However where we save a few bucks i am not sure it was worth some of the frustrations. We checked in Friday May 10th, the man at counter was nice. But.... the girl over the weekend, Aurela needs a good customer service lesson or get a job behind the scenes. totally rude and not helpful. Noise in the rooms is beyond loud. ask to change rooms she said no. they said the windows are triple paned but the windows in the stairway on the second and fifth floor (didnt notice 3rd and 4th) do not close shut so no matter how thick the rooms windows are its a small hotel and with windows that are open the sound is getting in. Our shower in room 202 flooded at 9:30pm, no guest service attendant works after 9am, we left early in the morning for a tour and when i got back the water drained overnight but immediately flooded again. i had to go tell Aurela and she came up with screwdriver, they have no plunger. she twisted the screwdriver in the drain a bit and said it was clogged and moved us to another room which we had to pack up and move 3 floors up. which is what i asked for the day before and she said no. We ended up missing our last night dinner at a rooftop restaurant. she offered really nothing, i mentioned we were going to miss out dinner and i had to ask if she could make us another one. The best thing about the hotel is Overoll the croissant place down below. The Vault advertises as luxury, the building is cool but the rooms are basic and the guest experience is budget level. I emailed the manager hoping he would make things right, the noise and clogged drains happen, i can deal with that but Aurela's professionalism and making us feel like an inconvenience is unacceptable.

It was a terrible experience !!! we are a family of 2+3 kids...there is a bar right next to the hotel which is very very noisy !!! We got a suite which we have paid twice the price for it and we got a room right next to us with interconecting door ...because of the noise my kids stayed awake and they heard everything from the next door !!!! people doing sex and our kids heard everything Worse experience ever !!!

We senior couple that choose to stay at the Athens Vault Hotel as of its advertising on your site. This hotel, besides its location, didn't offer anything according to what was advertised. Our experience was very poor due to the unattended service and their reference to our complains We booked a Superior room according to the Picture that was shown on the site, the room should be for a couple- which means 2 people. Everything inside was for one person, we understand that the breakfast that was included will be served in the room. 1. Only one chair, no table to sit and eat. - the night clerk said that that is what they have, there are no chairs and no tables. after a few phones call to the manager, they found a chair. 2. The bed Mattress's cover was dirty. - after we complain they replace it. 3. The safe, situated 10 cm from the floor, the door was locked open- they didn't come to fix it. 4. There were no cupboards, just an open hanging cabinet with a few hangers. 5. We had to "fight" and "kill" during 2 consequence days and 3 cockroaches- we had a picture and a movie. 6. The Breakfast by the requested list – never came correctly as was requested. -missing serving bowls and only one glass. 7. The rooms are not insulated from noises that coming from the street. To summarize the above -all our complaints were not accepted properly as they should. Even were denied with the laugh from the clerk -like "You got what you paid for". My suggestion – Don't .

We are 4 couples that travelled the world alone and together. We have just returned from our vacation at this hotel.This hotel can be a "jewel" mainly becuse its location but the experience was very poor due to maintenance and service . A few examples: 1. In one room the bed sheets were blood stained . 2. In other room cockroaches were found . 3. Breakfast is served (no breakfast room) in accordance to previous night filled list - that is OK, but : one morning ,one room did not received breakfast at all (cost reimbursed but we went out without it ) , another morning yougurt was missing ( totaly or partially), and another morning the serving bowls were missing . 4. Rooms in front are very noisy because of 2 bars with loud music in the evening/night and a screaming homeless during the day , both over the street . My suggestion is to avoid till those things shall be corrected
